Permit Parking On Harding

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:45pm. It's a pretty warm night outside. It's in the 50s. But it's pouring rain, too. It'll probably be quiet on the radio tonight due to the rain. We'll see. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 from now until a little after midnight, then tomorrow from 9am until dinner. Just another weekend. Also, beginning Thursday, until 2011 is over, I will be blogging in red and green, because of the holiday season being in full swing. With that, here's crime for this evening.

7:56pm - Parker. 1800 block of N Harding. Permits.

8:00pm - Vice complaint. On 2524's Beat.

8:10pm - Anyone out there need a babysitter? My sister is willing to babysit kids between the ages of 5 and 12. She would like to be paid minimum wage ($8.25 an hour). Flexible hours. If anyone's interesting, send me a line at weatherboy58@hotmail.com. I will then get you in touch with her. Thank you!

8:26pm - Person stabbed. 3050 N Milwaukee. Caller's girlfriend's ex and another guy stabbed them. One of the offenders lives on Keeler, in the 2200 block.

8:31pm - A slow down is being given on the 8:26pm job.

10:18pm - The 8:26pm job is bona fide. It was a 31 year old victim, who's currently at Illinois Masonic. He's in critical condition. He was stabbed twice. An RD number has been pulled from this incident. It's HT606593 with the event number of 14826.

10:25pm - Beat 2552 has a street stop at 1627 N Pulaski, in front of the Walgreens.

10:45pm - Disturbance. 4460 W Diversey. Male loitering in front.

10:46pm - Information for the CPD. North and Pulaski. CTA bus driver would like to make out a report regarding 3 teenage girls being harassed by a man in a red vehicle with a plate of L775216 who followed, or who's following, them when they were on the CTA bus, offering to take them home to their addresses. Possible attempted CSA.

10:48pm - Parker. 28XX N Lawndale. White Nissan without a residential permit is parked real close to the caller's car.

11:09pm - Criminal trespass. 2639 N Ridgeway. Someone just went into the vacant building.

11:33pm - Disturbance. Hamlin and Armitage.

11:34pm - Loud music disturbance. 18XX N Central Park. Street party.

Permit parking should be illegal. Why should one have to pay another fee, besides the city sticker, to park on the street?

Why don't the police do their job? Crime is out of control and where are the police? You'll hear them hiding out on other cars jobs. I mean 10 cars down on one of those bobus man with gun calls? And after its over, no arrest, nothing but nonsense. Go past that hotdog joint at about 4430 Fullerton. Usually ten cars camped out there eating away.

...we had a VERY serious garage fire on our block of Avers, three houses north of us...it was just before daylight...near 6 AM on Saturday...informal talk points to a set garbage can fire which spread to the garage...any official word on this? NOTE: the alley had been tagged within the last few weeks...

Perhaps a pissbum camp in the garage? Those homeless burn stuff in old coffee cans to stay warm.

...they are in the other alley between Avers and Hamlin...ours is between Avers and Springfield...

Ah, the one with the burned out van in it. Yep, saw it on my daily walk. Probably arson for hire. Insurance scams, or just tired of the old wheels.

Why don't the city just start bulldozing all the vacant properties? An empty lot is easier to deal with than a boarded up building.
