Crime Blotter For November 14, 2011

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:26pm. It's a chily night outside, but clear. It's going to get into the 30s today. Anyway, I've been thinking a lot on this, but it seems like involvement in the community has really died down this year. I know it's getting colder now, but even in the summer I noticed that. I admit I haven't been as involved as I probably should be, and I'm trying to change that for the upcoming year, but we all need to remain involved. Seriously. Because if we don't, the negative energy in this neighborhood will take over. Just my thoughts. Here's crime for a portion of this evening.

7:59pm - Some call on 2525's Beat.

8:37pm - Criminal trespass. 37XX W Dickens.

9:24pm - EMS run. Milwaukee and Ridgeway. Drunk guy down.

9:40pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Just remember, when the police stop you all you have to give them is your name. You don't need to hand them your ID or drivers license (unless driving) Start requesting supervisors when the police step over the line. You do have rights.

It truly sounds like you have a problem with the CPD. Or something. Whatever it is, keep it limited on here. The CPD already has a hard enough job, they don't need you adding on to it.

It's true they have a tough job but Citizens still have rights. The last thing we want is a Police state in America. Everyone should know their rights as a US Citizen. We are all held to the law whether your a Police officer who serves or a US Citizen.

This isn't a police state. So why allow the police to search you at will?
