Burglary SOB Mission Conducted On 2524's Beat

Good morning, everyone, it's 8am. It's a pretty cloudy but mild Sunday, which is unusual for this time of year. It's supposed to get into the 60s today. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 from now until my dinner. I don't know if you all read my plans for next weekend, but I plan on monitoring 25 from after my dinner until a little after midnight on Thursday, monitor 17 on Friday, and then monitor 25 on Saturday from when I wake up until my dinner. I will not be blogging next Sunday. That's all I have to say for now, so here's crime for today.

8:09am - Beat car 2524 asks for a burglary SOB mission on the Beat.

8:34am - Parker. On 2524's Beat.

10:37am - Some call in the area.

11:36am - DUI driver. Armitage and Central Park. Green minivan just drove up onto the sidewalk. Driver is a male Hispanic in his 60s. He may be drunk or high.

11:46am - 1) CFD run. 37XX W Diversey. Woman stuck in a car with a baby. Forced entry needed. 2) Beat car 2523 asks Dispatch if a couple of squad cars at Pulaski and Wellington need any help. She said she hasn't heard anything.

11:53am - 2523 is asking for a call back. Dispatch doesn't have one, but says the victims are in a brown Nagivator. It's coded 19P, CFD is leaving.

12:02pm - They're calling back from the 11:46am job. It's a green Nagivator, and now it's in front of an address on the 2700 block of N Ridgeway.

12:37pm - Traffic accident. North and Pulaski.

12:59pm - Shots Fired. 29XX N Kenneth. Couple of gunshots heard.

1:20pm - Vicious animal. 25XX N Harding. Pit bull running around the neighborhood.

1:36pm - Traffic accident. Pulaski and Barry. Injures.

2:12pm - Gang disturbance. 3700 W Diversey. Two of them loitering in front of the grocery store.

2:15pm - 1) Assist the citizen. 3050 N Pulaski. At the gas station. Caller needs help retrieving stolen property. 2) Battery. Fullerton and Kostner. Caller was punched by a "friend". 3) Disturbance. 4008 W Armitage. 4) Disturbance. 2001 N Pulaski. Two male Blacks on the lot of the gas station, causing problems.

3:32pm - Beat car 2523, the unit that responded to 3050 Pulaski, is relocating that person to the area around the Belmont Red Line station.

3:53pm - Gang disturbance. Diversey and Lawndale.

4:47pm - Burglar alarm. 2121 N Keeler. At the Nixon school. Room #8 motion.

5:16pm - Burglary in progress. 28XX N Avers. People breaking into the home.

5:17pm - An officer is saying that that building is vacant, on Avers.

5:20pm - Narcotics. On 2524's Beat.

5:40pm - Gang disturbance. On 2524's Beat.

5:41pm - They're calling back on the Avers burglary.

5:59pm - The Bears score is 37-6. Good job, guys!

6:08pm - Disturbance. 31XX N Hamlin. Argument about the wife being threatened or something.

6:21pm - Check the well being. 29XX N Harding.

6:39pm - Beat car 2524 is asking for a call back on the 6:21pm job.

7:06pm - I have to go eat, and that note, I'm gone for the night. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

I really can't understand why so much support is given to football players and the various other so-called sports stars. these are not role models, but guys who would probably be in prison or dead if not for sports. You'll see them on the news, babbling away. And these are college graduates? Or even high school graduates? They're just ghetto thugs, nothing more.
