Burglar Alarm On Armitage

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:45pm. Had a bad day today. Just glad to be home. Glad it's only a three-day week and it being a four day weekend. Anyway, the Harpin Lofts at Diversey/Milwaukee/Kimball opened up today, at 5pm. There was an open house. I was too tired to attend it, though. Well, I don't have much else to say, so here's crime for a portion of tonight.

7:58pm - Burglar alarm. 3702 W Armitage.

8:33pm - Speed chase. Speed chase. Wrightwood and Pulaski. Heading west. Car speeding off from a unit at a high rate of speed. They were trying to put a stop on the car. No further info at this time.

8:34pm - Oh, they crashed. 4427 W Wrightwood. Chase is on foot now. Going west in the alley.

8:35pm - Suspect is running through the backyards on the 4400 block of W Wrightwood. Also, another car is needed at Kilbourn and Deming.

8:36pm - Chase is over. They lost him. Now, officers are talking about this and what not.

9:06pm - Criminal trespass. 30XX N Monticello. Males in the backyard.

9:18pm - Some call in the area.

9:28pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

How many of these alarm calls turn out to be bogus? If you can't work your alarm, perhaps the police should ticket you for false alarm.

Actually, they do ticket you for false alarms. First one is free, but after that you are fined.

Please explain how they 'don't deserve it'. I am unfamiliar with paddy wagon distribution laws.

Maybe if u were CPD fan like me who was unjustly told that I failed the police psych test u would realize the wagon is the best job on the planet. Those 2 "ol timers" just look out of place in that beautiful police transport vehicle.

Naw, the police don't write tickets on residential alarms. They should, though...
