8:52pm - Shooting's bona fide. EMS needed. Victim is confirming the shooting happened at Diversey and Kilbourn.

8:53pm - Victim is shot in the lower leg and is going to be taken to Masonic.

8:57pm - Beat 2572 is assigned to look for a crime scene.

9:03pm - The victim says there were five male Hispanic offenders in a van.

9:04 to 9:10pm - Some basic police/dispatch chatter about the shooting.

9:11pm - The shooting was apparently gang-related. Had something to do with Cobras. They allegedly flashed signs at the victim before opening fire.

Good evening, everyone, it's 7:39pm. It's another cloudy and rainy evening in Chi-town, as you all can see. It's supposed to be like this until the weekend, so I think there won't be too much going on in terms of crime, but we'll see. Anyway, as I said yesterday, I won't be here tomorrow. I have an event I need to attend right after school and that's not over until 8pm. I won't be home until about 8:45 and I'll be probably too tired to really do anything. Also, on Wednesday, I'm going to blog mainly only in the morning before I go to school, as my CAPS meeting is in the evening. With that, here's crime for tonight.

Grandfather Threatened On Wrightwood Last Night

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:15am. It's a cloudy day out there, in the mid 50s. It's supposed to get into the mid 60s, and it's supposed to remain cloudy today, with rain and thunderstorms possible later. All part of late September, I guess. Anyway, I'd like to let you guys know of the events I have this week, so you know when not to except me. On Tuesday, after school, I have an event I need to be at, that runs until 8pm, meaning I won't be getting home until around 9. So there probably won't be a blog post that day (I'll monitor 17 from 4:45am to 5:11 that day). On Wednesday, I'll be attending my CAPS meeting in the evening, which means there may be a morning post of crime before I go to school. Then on Friday, I have a meeting at school immeadiately after school, which will run until around 3:30. So I'll be home around 4:30 or 5pm. Also, I'm monitoring 25 from now until my dinner. 11:24am - Person w/ a gun. Milwaukee and Central Park. Male Black with a black jacket and jeans has a small gun in his hand.

11:25am - The 11:24am job is about 10 minutes old. It was an attempt robbery. The offender's gone.

11:44am - Traffic accident. Hamlin and Milwaukee.

12:00pm - Robbery. Belmont and Tripp. Male Hispanic, brown shirt, jeans, bald, mid 30s robbed a woman and her child. He ran across Belmont, into 17.

12:05pm - The 12pm job is in 17. Beat car 2521 is touring the area for the offender.

Good morning, everyone, it's 4:45am. It's a pretty warm late night/early morning out there. It's in the mid 60s. It's going to be a warm day, getting to be around 85, with sunshine. I think that may bring up crime in some areas today, as it hasn't been that warm for about a week or so. Anyway, today is my mother's birthday, and I probably won't be here immeadiately when I get home from school, as we might take her out for dinner. We'll see. With that, here's crime for today.

4:01pm - I'm back. Good afternoon, everyone. There's a developing situation right around Kelvyn Park High School on Wrightwood, and by the park. An officer is saying 10 to 15 shots have been fired right outside of the school.

4:04pm - Numerous calls of 'Shots Fired' coming in. I'm getting 4400 on Wrightwood, 2600 N Kostner, Wrightwood/Kostner, Kilbourn/Wrightwood, Kilbourn/Schubert. All calls say 10 to 15 shots fired, with one or two of them with two males running.

4:05pm - Person shot. 44XX W Wrightwood. Male shot in the hand.

4:06pm - Calls still coming in on the person shot and shots fired.

4:07pm - 10-1. Kostner and Wrightwood. P.O. is supposed to be chasing someone. That's not a 10-1 though. Foot chase, to be exact. Anyways, the suspect is heading towards Deming on Kostner.

4:10pm - Another call of a "person shot". This one's on the 4500 block of W Wellington, between Kolmar and Kenton.

4:11pm - The first person shot is bona fide. He is shot in the hand. He's ok. Was shot in the middle of the block on 4400 Wrightwood.

4:13pm - A weapon's been recovered from the McDonalds. Someone's in custody.

4:14pm - The second person shot is also bona fide. He's been shot in the buttocks.

4:15pm - Sounds like so far, two offenders are in custody, and they're looking for two more.

4:16 through 4:24pm - More police/dispatch chatter regarding the shooting. I'm going to try and get exactly what was said about it from ProdigalOne.

4:25pm - Getting information that two males that did the shooting are hiding in the alley between Parker and Schubert on Kilbourn.

4:26 to 4:30pm - Same as 4:16 to 4:24.

4:31pm - Robbery. Fullerton and Ridgeway. Caller was robbed by three males.

4:32 through 4:39pm - Same as above. I did hear something about a female being involved, though.

5:40pm - Do you all remember Tony Pierre? He was a suspect in a burglary in the neighborhood a while back. Well, he was just spotted by a citizen at Mozart Park. He's a male Black, about 5'9, 150 to 160 lbs, dark complected. He's wearing black clothing with a red baseball cap. He was by the basketball court of the park. He allegedly has an IR number of 1635510.

5:45pm - Traffic accident. 2978 N Milwaukee.

6:09pm - Beat 2520 is talking to a witness from the shooting, who says they saw a car with a plate of K587870 involved in the shooting.

Good morning, everyone, it's 11:05am. It's a pretty nice Saturday. It's in the 70s with mixed sunshine and clouds. But I'm just so glad to have a day off from school. This first week's been really stressful. This has been my most stressful school year ever so far. I really can't wait to graduate in June, provided we're still here. So, today, I'm monitoring 14, as I said last night. Tomorrow I'll be monitoring 25. So with that, here's crime for today.

11:23am - Traffic accident. Western and Moffat. Hit and run. Caller struck another car and that car took off.

11:32am - The caller from the accident just called back. They don't want to wait for the CPD any longer, so they're going into the station.

11:36am - Robbery. Milwaukee and Drake.

11:37am - Barking dog. 17XX N Winchester. 15 dogs barking in the back.

12:18pm - Narcotics. 16XX N California. Drug sales going on in the hotel.

12:40pm to 1:15pm - There were probably a few calls, but I didn't really pay attention. I'm sorry.

Disturbances On Springfield

Good morning, everyone, it's 6:30am. It's a pretty cloudy morning, in the 60s. It's supposed to get sunny and get into the lower to mid 70s. Ah, cooler air :). I'm glad it'll be cooler. It's supposed to stay this way for at least a couple of days. Anyway, as you all probably know, I will not be blogging after 7:30am today, because I'm going on a blog/community vacation until Wednesday. I need some time away from the blog and community efforts, and would like to enjoy my last two days off from school. So with that, here's crime for this early morning.

6:37am - Loud music disturbance. 26XX N Springfield. Coming from a pick-up truck in the alley.

6:58am - Disturbance. 26XX N Springfield. Two drunks in the alley, being very loud. Same block that the last call was on. Maybe these two calls are related.

9:10 through 9:25am - Police/Dispatch chatter regarding the 9:06am job. Apparently, this guy's been going down Kilbourn since Waveland, hitting cars. Looks like he stopped at Fullerton. The car's abandoned in the east alley of the 2500 block of N Kilbourn.

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:30am. It's a somewhat cloudy morning, though it's a little sunny, too. It's in the 70s. It'll get up into the 90s with sun. Hot for this time of year. Anyway, I'll be blogging today from now until 2:04pm, then will be gone until 6, and come back until 8:12. After 8:12, I'll be gone for the night. This is all a part of me going back to my regular schedule for this blog, the post-summer schedule. Also, tomorrow will probably be the last day I blog for a couple of days. Gang Disturbance @ Belmont/Ridgeway, Parker On Davlin

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2:04pm. It's a hot afternoon. It's currently around 90 degress, and will get into the mid 90s before the day is over. Not really usual for early September. Speaking of which, September has begun, which means a lot of things, at least for this blog and myself. One, I will not be doing the all day, everyday blogging I did (or at least tried to) over the summer, until next summer, provided we're still here. The reasons why I cut down are because I will be heading back to school for my last year in less than a week, therefore I'll be busy, and there's not as much crime and disorder in the fall months as there is during the summer. I realize gang activity really does pick up in certain spots of the neighborhood while the seasons are changing, and will monitor those areas, but most days aren't as bad as the summers are usually. This also means I'll be cutting down on monitoring 14. That's reduced to once a month, again. This also means I'll be going back to my weird weekend schedule, where I monitor on Saturdays after my dinner (for the most part) and before my dinner on Sundays. Oh, and one more note for everyone, but I'll be taking Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off from blogging. I want to enjoy the remainder of my last weekend off from school, and on Tuesday, I'm going to a Cubs game with my dad after school :). So with that, here's crime for this afternoon and evening.
