Good morning, everyone, it's 8:31am. It's a mostly cloudy morning with temps in the mid 20s, and today will get into the mid 30s with sun and clouds. I'm monitoring 25 from now until my dinner. We'll see how this goes today. Here's crime.

5:48pm - Traffic pursuit. Traffic pursuit. Lamon and Race. Beat 1567Boy is chasing a black 2-door Chevy Monte Carlo. Headed east on Race towards Cicero. They're chasing him because he either has a pistol on him or drugs. Car is occupied twice.

I saw him laying down on the pavement, screaming. Half of his arm was chopped off... Gang-related?

I heard the crazed man that attacked with a machete was high on "bath salts". What a horrible way to start off the day shopping & seeing that.

dude. dude.... if this really happened 1. why was the store still open all day and 2. why is there nothing about it in ANY news source including Chicago Breaking News ... this is the kind of sensational stuff the media eats up ...

The media only cares when the victim is a minority, white folks don't count in crime stats.

The guy that had his arm amputated was a butcher and it was an accident.
It was not crime related.
