Good morning, everyone, it's 6:13am. It's a clear early morning with temps in the lower 30s, and today will be a mix of sun and clouds with temps in the mid 40s. I'm monitoring 14 from now until about 7:45 or so, then I'll be back with 25 this evening after my dinner. Here's crime for this early morning and evening.
6:49am - Burglar alarm. 1681 N Milwaukee Ave. At the children's place.
6:59am - EMS run. Somewhere on Kedzie.
7:00am - Beat 1495 is inquiring if anyone knows of a purse-snatching that occurred on Armitage between Damen and Ashland.
7:45am - Assault in progress. Armitage and Spaulding. Woman threatening to beat up the caller near the bus stop.
7:52am - I'm gone for the day. I'll be back in the evening. Have a good day, everyone!
7:18pm - I'm back, with 25. Good evening, everyone.
8:37pm - Parker. On 2524's Beat.
9:01pm - Narcotics. On 2523's Beat.
10:09pm - An outside unit has a traffic stop at Avers and Fullerton.
12:00am - I'm going to go for the night, and with that, I won't be back on a few days. I have finals I need to study for. I hope everyone has a good night and a good week!

It appears that teens & adults are getting high on those "bath salts" in Albany Park. The drug makes people do CRAZY things.

They got a new thing they also use to get high. They make a fake crack using oragel. It freezes your face. I guess that's cool, huh?
An unmarked car flipped over at 70th & Stoney. Why do these TACT guys drive so dangerously risking injuring to good law abiding folks?
Those tact guys drive like idiots. If you're not near where the job is, let the radio dispatcher know. Some of them just hear the word "gun" in a call and off they go. Most of the time its not legit.
Sgt, thanks for confirming. I also think those TACT guys are always flirting with the women when I see them. I thought they were suppose to handle the "urgent, in progress" calls??
Burglaries without offenders on scene are being turned over to callback (411) for reports. Since they really are only made for insurance purposes.
