Person Down Behind Copernicus Center On Milwaukee

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:42pm. It's a cold and cloudy day outside. It's in the 20s. Tonight is only going to be single digit temps. Bi-polar weather we have in Chicago, huh? Anyway, I should be here for a while this evening. I don't know how long. Tomorrow evening, depending if I get a ride or not to this event, I have a community meeting I need to attend up in the 33rd Ward. We'll see how that goes. Here's crime for this afternoon going into this evening.

4:46pm - Person down. 3160 N Milwaukee. In the alley behind the Copernicus Center.

5:10pm - Criminal trespass. 2979 N Ridgeway. At the vacant building. Group of males on the property. They're also trying to start a fire to keep warm.

6:25pm - I have to take a phone call, so I'll be back soon.

6:35pm - I'm back.

7:23pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:37pm - I'm back.

8:16pm - I need to do some other stuff, so I'm done blogging for the night. I should be back either tomorrow or sometime during the week. Have a good night, everyone.

When are people going to realize that a bunch of new condos and houses doesn't a "NEW NEIGHBORHOOD MAKE!". These neighborhoods were high crime areas in the mid 80's to at least the mid to late 90's, that's a fact! So why the look of amazement when senseless violence and crimes are taking place??? Didn't you do a little research on where you decided to move/build your house??? Just because they cleaned off the gang signs and spray paint off the viaducts don't mean a thing, check the alleys!!! I'm perplexed at how/why some people fail to do their research regarding the neighborhood they decide to live/start a family in??? Just because at the present time things seem alright, one must remember that this is Chicago and the streets/neighborhoods have a life/reputation of their own. A little common sense goes a long way, and people need to start using it...COMMON SENSE!!!

Why doesn't the church care for the homeless in the area? Afterall, most of them are Catholic. Is the church that greedy with its funds to not help the local homeless problem?
