EMS Run On Central Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:30am. It's a sunny morning, with temps in the 30s. Today, it's going to be in the 40s. I'll be monitoring 14 today, then I'm monitoring 25 after dinner tomorrow evening and on Saturday before dinner. On Sunday, I won't be blogging at all. Here's crime for today.

8:42am - EMS run. 24XX N Central Park.

8:47am - Unfortunately, something has come up that I have to tend to. Not sure when I'll be back. See you all later, I guess.

11:25am - I'm back, briefly.

11:27am - Criminal damage. 3200 W Armitage. Male Hispanic, 6'3, red sweater and white pants damaged something belonging to the caller. He's still out in front.

11:32am - Check the well being. 27XX N Fairfield.

11:38am - I have to go again. I'll be back.

1:15pm - Finally, I'm back for good. Good afternoon, everyone. I'll monitor the time period I was gone tomorrow.

1:18pm - Battery in progress. 1826 N Elston. Two males fighting in front.

1:33pm - Some call on the 2700 block of N St. Louis.

1:56pm - Gang disturbance. 20XX N Hoyne. One male's on the west side of the street, in a black hoodie, throwing up gang signs at another male on the east side of the street, who's throwing up signs back at him. They're walking in opposite directions.

2:57pm - Suspicious vehicle. North/Milwaukee/Damen. Something about a car under the "L" tracks.

3:37pm - Parker. 26XX W Altgeld. Tow zone.

3:56pm - 1) Disturbance. 1950 N Milwaukee. Two people causing problems in front of the grocery store. 2) EMS run. Western Blue Line. Sick person.

4:10pm - Beat 1471 is coding out the Western Blue Line call.

4:14pm - Beat 1406Adam has a street stop at 31XX W Palmer.

4:17pm - Disturbance. 2001 N Milwaukee. At the Walgreens.

4:37pm - Beat 1406A needs a Spanish translator at 16XX N Mozart.

4:39pm - Traffic accident. Western and North Ave. Car VS bicyclist. Bicyclist refused EMS.

4:53pm - Assault in progress. Milwaukee and Spaulding. Two people arguing at the bus stop.

4:54pm - Another call just came in on the 4:53pm call. There's two males over by the Blue Line entrance, arguing and grabbing a female.

5:01pm - Assault in progress. California and Belmont. On CTA bus #6772, there's a male White with a blue jacket threatening people. He's with his mother.

5:06pm - Reckless driver. Armitage and Kedzie. Black car with a plate of N228515 nearly hit the caller's car as it was speeding.

5:08pm - Parker. 20XX N Stave. Car blocking the caller's parking lot.

5:17pm - Information coming over from Zone 12: There's a "person w/ a gun" call at Milwaukee and Central Park. A guy dressed as Santa Claus has a gun in a restaurant at the corner.

5:32pm - Disturbance. 2120 N Mozart. At the church. Male White, 40s, heavy set, bald with a black pea coat needs to be removed from the property, as he's causing problems.

5:38pm - Reckless driver. Kimball/Milwaukee/Diversey. A car with a plate of N205814 has a drunk driver in it, who's speeding south on Milwaukee towards Spaulding.

5:50pm - Assault. North and Leavitt. Blue Chevy Trailblazer with two male Black young adults threatened to do bodily harm to the caller. The car has a plate of A974766.

6:38pm - Disturbance. 3067 N Elston. At the towing place.

6:43pm - EMS run. 3415 W Diversey. Male wants to go to the hospital. He's having a seizure.

7:27pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:41pm - I'm back, and Beat car 1431 is doing a premise check at the California Blue Line station. Event number is 14642.

7:50pm - Beat 1410 has an accident at Schubert and Kedzie. 1495 is heading over to assist him.

8:10pm - An RD number has been pulled from the 7:50pm accident. It's HV106204 with the event number of 14891.

8:14pm - Information for the CPD. 1839 N Richmond. Dog stuck under concrete.

8:21pm - Narcotics. Sawyer and Wellington. Seven to eight males selling out in front.

8:29pm - EMS run. 21XX N Campbell. 20 year old male in front saying that he's smoked too many drugs.

8:43pm - Check the well being. 30XX N Elbridge.

8:52pm - Shots Fired. 32XX W Wellington. About seven shots heard.

8:53pm - More calls coming in. Multiple calls. Shots Fired at 30XX N Sawyer and Wellington/Sawyer.

8:55pm - A slow down is being given on the 8:52/8:53pm jobs.

8:56pm - Per Beat car 1412, three MLDs in the area are saying that a small racing car, tan in color, and a black or dark green older Jeep Cherokee, boxy style, shouted out "MLD killer!" and fired several shots. They're Latin Kings from Central Park and Belmont.

9:09pm - Beat 45Sam10 has a group of Latin Kings stopped in a car at 31XX N St. Louis.

9:15pm - Theft in progress. Webster and Ashland. Male White with a red cap was seen breaking into a car. He then jumped into a car that fled east on Webster, across the river, into the 18th District.

9:26pm - The information from the shooting on Wellington has changed quite a bit. Now, it's being said that the offenders were the MLDs who claimed to be victims at first. The real victims aren't gang members. They had their car window shot out. I guess the LKs were still involved in this, too.

9:35pm - Disturbance. 1640 N Maplewood. At Maplewood Park. Two teenagers shouting obscenities at people.


9:46pm - Beat car 1414 and Beats 1453 and 1461Adam are helping 45S10A take in five to 25 from the 9:09pm stop.

9:50pm - An officer just heard five, rapid loud reports just west of the station, California and Shakespeare.

9:57pm - 1) Beat car 1433 asks for a burglary mission on the Beat. 2) Shots Fired. Moffat and Kedzie. One heard, no descriptions.

10:03pm - Auto theft. 35XX W Wabansia. Brown Buick was just taken from the caller.

10:38pm - Person w/ a gun. 2108 W North Ave. Male Black with a female White in a blue buick is waving a gun out the window.

10:40pm - The 10:38pm vehicle is stopped at 2118 on North.

10:41pm - Beat 1406Charlie gets a prostitution call on the PDT.

10:42pm - Check the well being. 28XX W McLean. Caller needs CPD to check on a friend that they haven't heard from all week.

10:54pm - Loud music disturbance. 2601 N Milwaukee. From the restrauant.

11:58pm - A unit has a stop just west of Simons Park on Wabansia.
