Freaking kids don't respect ANYTHING OR ANYBODY ANYMORE!! These are the type of kids who are going to end up in prison or in the grave, uncalled for violence, picking on the weak, bullying, these three will cross the wrong individual one day. Or Law Enforcement just might luck out and pinch these "tough guys", 3 on 1, man things have changed, and he's not even a gang member, why did they even bother him????

Gangbangers beating other gangbangers. That's what they do. These victims are not as innocent as you think.

Personally, I feel that gentrification is part of progress.
The young replace the old, the circle of life, it makes sense. My only problem is these naive people who purchase "condos" in these gang ravaged neighborhoods. They may not be on the corners now, but go back a couple of years and depending on where you reside, you just may be living on/in a very popular, reputable "gang neighborhood", just because they are not "in sight" doesn't mean that the problem has been eradicated. These young urban people get some cash and think because the neighborhood has been remodeled and the bad houses replaced with nice new condos means that it's a great place to live...THINK AGAIN, in this day and age of INFORMATION, investigate your neighborhood, go to the neighborhood district police station and ask for some stats on the previous, say five or ten years back...and then see how nice and well manicured your neighborhood is with all of the gang hanging on a nearby corner, tagging, and drug dealing are just little extras you get plus a dose of color, that is gang colors that will be running up and down alleys splashed on any and all available surfaces. It's a fact of life, that is not going to change over night.

MadSam - I'd rather have "young urban people" in my neighborhood than the irresponsible renters/owners who let their children run wild and end up in gangs or just let their properties turn into utter shit with garbage and a decaying home. "Young Urban People with careers and jobs tend to actually take care of their property and make sure their children are educated so they stay off the street and out of entitlements. It forces the gangbanger and the gangbanger enabler to move out. I have lived in my neighborhood since 1976 and it has gentrified and in the process my taxes went up but it's also made me a safer and richer man for my family and my children. I am happy the irresponsible and dirty gangbangers were pushed out. My life is better without those people living near me and my family.

Jimmy, can you tell us what a "were in a wrap" on the scanner means? Zone 3 Grand Crossing seems to frequently have this on weekends. They were going to battery "in progress" call last week that was over an hour old!

The police get tied up on so many nonsense calls. Many of thye calls are not even police emergencies, but the cars have to answer them.

Nonsense calls will always happen. Its best to get over it and move on with your life.

I remember the old saying, "Come pimpin, leave limpin."

Teah, keep calling in those nonsense calls. And then you wonder why police service is slow. It's like the little boy who cried "Wolf" all the time. The police start to ignore your calls for help.....
