Traffic Accident On George, Info For CPD On Diversey

Good evening, everyone, it's 4:58pm. It's a pretty cloudy but warm afternoon. It's in the upper 60s or something like that right now. Tonight, it'll get to around 47 or 48, and tomorrow will only get to around 50, then it's going to get colder. Anyway, you all remember me talking about my financial situation two months ago, right? Well, it looks like that may really happen, in a matter of weeks. The walls are closing in on us, it seems like. I don't know how much longer this blog will be around, but I'll blog until I go, if I do. So, with that, here's crime for this afternoon and early evening.

6:10pm - Traffic accident. 41XX W George.

6:19pm - Information for the CPD. 36XX W Diversey.

6:39pm - Gang disturbance. 25XX N Kilbourn. Group of about 8 in front flashing signs.

6:43pm - Fire. 40XX W Dickens. Fence.

6:55pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

7:09pm - I'm back.

7:15pm - Speed chase. Speed chase. Beat 2562Boy is chasing a gold Transporter down Mason from Bloomingdale. Three heads in it. Lights and sirens activated. Beat 45Sam17 is monitoring the chase. I think they're chasing for UUW (Unlawful Use of a Weapon).

7:16pm - South on Mason, approaching North Ave.

7:17pm - East on Hirsch from Mayfield.

7:18pm - They're bailing, in front of 1411 N Menard. One's in custody but there's another running. The other two guys are running towards Massasoit.

7:19pm - All three subjects in custody. Great job, officers! Back to regular Zone 12...

7:21pm - A slow down is being given on all of this. Units are still flying over there.

Why do the streets change names at North Ave? Major becomes Waller?

Funeral services for 16-year-old Andre Vasquez, who was shot and killed in his Avondale neighborhood home, are expected to be held Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Benson Funeral Home Inc., 3224 West Montrose Avenue, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Although a tentative date has been scheduled, a sizable amount of money is still needed to cover the cost of the burial services, said a spokesman for the funeral home.

However, the spokesman would not discuss the cost of the funeral.

If you would like to donate money to Andre Vasquez's burial, you may contact Benson Funeral Home at 773-478-2036.

Why don't they just use the dope money they had since they were selling from that house?

Ah, go back ten or so years when the Simon city Royals controlled Koz park. They kept the riff raff away..

Chaz,
The Royals killed a young kid down the street from koz park back then. He was white, young....cant see how he was riff raff. The cobras do the same, hang out where they live / grew up. Good luck trying to get rid of them. They run from Central Park to Cicero.... and from Fullerton to dam near to Belmont. One gets locked up or dies, and two more youngsters take there place. Royals, Cobras, Faglords, Latin Kings etc. are all the same.....Neighborhood kids being kids where they live.

Sounded like 6 shots fired by the monument in logan square. Pretty substantial police response... Any details?

Ah, do the O/A's still occupy that site by the Logan Sq. monument? Why can't the yuppies clean up their opwn areas? When one group of people invade to occupy the area, you rid it of the rif raff...

The white kid killed back then was Spy. When one of another gang sneaks or trespasses into another gang's territory things like this can happen. So as how many of these gang shootings go. Wrong place, wrong time.
