Merry Christmas 2009!

Good morning, everyone, it's 6:39am. Merry Christmas to all!!! I opened up my new presents and they're great. I received a new scanner (it's a plug-in so I don't have to worry about batteries anymore) and mp3 player :), so I'm happy this Christmas morning. But enough with that. I'm monitoring all day today since I didn't get to last Christmas. So, yeah, here's crime for today. Once again, Merry Christmas!

7:38am - Traffic accident. Fullerton and Hamlin. A car struck the caller's car.

8:59am - Assault. 3637 W Belmont. Two male Hispanics came in and tried to start a fight.

9:06am - The 8:59am guys actually committed Battery. They're heading towards Milwaukee on Belmont. They're in their 20s. One's got on a black leather coat and the other's got some yellow coat.

9:11am - Beat car 2523 has two possibles from the 8:59am job at Belmont and Milwaukee.

9:20am - Disturbance. 2110 N Hamlin. Intoxicated female in the apartment.

11:09am - Domestic disturbance. 2027 N Hamlin. This was called in originally at 1745 N Keystone. Problem with the boyfriend. Caller has no clue where they are, according to dispatch, who did a call back once already. Lots of drama on this job.

11:29am - Beat car 2524 just left the 11:14am job and guess what? They're calling again. This is getting stupid with these calls.

5:32pm - Criminal damage. 2816 N Lawndale. Caller has relatives visiting for the holidays and someone just broke out the windows to the relatives' car. Offenders may have went towards George on Lawndale. I'm betting it's those gangbangers who live on the block.

8:24pm - The 8:16pm responding unit says that the gates are frozen shut and the caller needs to get out. Dispatch offers to have the Chicago Fire Department go over there to try to unlock the gate, but they'll only do if it's an emergency. Officer says he'll think of something as into handling this situation without CFD's help.

8:52pm - DUI driver. Armitage and Harding.

9:48pm - Criminal damage in progress. 3110 N Milwaukee. Male sleeping in the hallway.
