Good morning, everyone, it's 3:27pm. I'd like to address a situation. This involves those kids from Reily School at School and Lawndale. Something has got to be done about them. When my school bus comes down Central Park in the 3200 block, the kids are screaming, yelling, swearing at and are even fighting each other. Today, a kid about 9 yrs old, with his mom, threw a snowball at my school bus at Belmont and Central Park. Any suggestions on what to do about this? Anyway, school was kind of crazy, but that's over with, and here's crime for this afternoon and evening.
3:26pm - Battery. 4030 W Wrightwood. At Aidi. Male beaten up in the store.
3:31pm - Disturbance. 3123 N Milwaukee. One of the lovelys is causing a problem near Red Apple.
4:28pm - Some kind of disturbance at Pulaski and Oakdale.
4:55pm - Disturbance. 2009 N Karlov. Group of guys hanging out in front. They're scary, according to the caller.
5:04pm - I've been hearing on and off chatter regarding traffic control being needed right at Koz Park and something about ambulances. A reader, and friend, confirms to me that it's a traffic accident that was real bad. I'm not sure if there's any serious injures, but it sounds awful.
6:08pm - EMS run. 2328 N Ridgway.
6:19pm - Beat car 2523 gets a Burglar report and a MOV on the Beat.
6:30pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.
7:00pm - I'm back.
7:56pm - Burglar alarm. 3915 W Wrightwood.
7:59pm - Burglar report. 4408 W Altgeld.
8:00pm - I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Anonymous, from the sound of that report, someone was struck on a bike and died.
A friend of mine emailed me yesterday to say that the vehicles were wrecked. He suspects that the a black SUV, that struck the bike, hit the bike and crossed all the way over Diversey, busted through a wrought-iron fence and came to rest in the auto repair shop parking lot across the street. He suspects he white van spun 90 degrees so that its nose was facing the park, and came to rest up against a light pole.
This sounds like a really, really bad accident. Horrible.
