Good morning, everyone, it's 12:56am. There has been tons of action on my block tonight. A locked up building on my block is probably opened up again. Officers responded to a call of a Person Wanted at about 11:30pm. What they found is that the building had music playing in it and it had Christmas lights in it. Let's just say, officers swarmed the place, LOL. But they did an excellent job. Turns out that for now, the building's secure. I'll watch it, though, and call 911 if necessary. Anyway, today is going to be a little warmer. Lastly, I'll be monitoring until dinner. Here is crime for tonight.
12:32am - Beat car 1633 comes over Zone 12's air to ask officers what the address is on the bar at Milwaukee and Avers. They've got a job relating to that location.
12:35am - Beat car 2523 says the address for the bar is 3086 N. Milwaukee, but there's a club there too. That address is 3084.
12:38am - Traffic accident. Hamlin and Fullerton. DUI driver involved.
12:44am - Disturbance. 2832 N Ridgeway. Owner locked the caller out of their basement. Boy, my block is quite active tonight.
12:46am - Beat car 2523 asks for a call back on the 12:44am job.
12:47am - No answer on 2523's call back. 19P on the job.
12:50am - Check the well being. 2258 N Avers. Caller says there's an intruder.
12:51am - Narcotics. 2759 N Kilbourn. Marijuana being smoked at a party.
12:56am - Beat 2530 asks for a call back on the 12:50am job. Dispatch will try.
12:57am - No answer on the 12:56am call back.
1:01am - Check the well being. 4329 W Diversey.
1:06am - Beat car 2525 has a traffic stop at 1852 N Springfield.
1:07am - Beat car 2525 is taking one in from the 1:06am stop.
1:15am - I'm heading to bed. Good night, everyone.
9:05am - I'm back. Good morning.
9:09am - Child left alone. Springfield and Belmont. A little girl was found wandering the streets alone.
9:19am - Beat car 2523 asks Dispatch if there's any calls for a missing 2 yr old girl from Barry and Springfield. No calls as of yet. Dispatch is checking with Zone 1 in case 17 has a missing call.
9:24am - The 9:09am parent was located. The child snuck out. Everything is now a-ok (LOL).
9:26am - Parker. Barry and Haussen. Cars blocking the crosswalk.
9:53am - Beat car 2523 needs an assist at Belmont and Pulaski. At the gas station. He's got an unruly drunk.
9:54am - Beat car 2524 is heading over to Belmont and Pulaski.
10:01am - The 9:53am assist call is coded 19P. 2523 thanks 2524, 2525 and one of the supervisors for going over there.
10:10am - Suspicious vehicle. Palmer and Central Park. A maroon '96-'98 is parked out in front. It's been there a while.
10:14am - Beat car 2535 needs an assist car at 3608 W Shakespeare. Someone's going to jail. This is a handwaver. 2524 is heading over. Boy, Patrick's (the officer on 2524 today) on a roll :).
10:16am - Beat car 2535 says everything's fine. He's got the guy in the back of the squad car.
10:29am - Beat car 2525 is running a VIN from the 10:10am job.
10:30am - The VIN comes back hot (which means the car is stolen). 2525 wants the owner to be notified.
10:32am - A better address for the 10:10am job is 3614 W Palmer.
10:44am - Job somewhere on Monticello involving a red 4-door pick-up.
10:52am - An RD number is pulled from the 10:10am job. It's HR676299 with the event number of 05320.
11:09am - Gang disturbance. George and Avers. Male Hispanic, 20s and checkered jacket is flashing signs at passing cars.
12:15pm - Beat car 2523 is going in with one from Fullerton and Pulaski for municipal ordinance violation. He also asks for an event number from this job. The event number is 06949.
12:44pm - Backlog in 25 at 12:44 hours.
2:37pm - Person down. 3110 N Milwaukee. Male on the ground.
2:49pm - The 2:37pm job is coded 16Paul.
3:00pm - Criminal Trespass in progress. 3631 W Shakespeare. Caller recieved a call from the brother that he locked himself in the basement because some guys are on scene, threatening him. They broke a lock off the door.
3:10pm - Beat car 2524 asks for a call back on the 3pm job.
3:11pm - The 3pm job is coded 19P. No answer on call back.
3:31pm - The 3pm job now comes in as an "Assault in progress". Two male Blacks are threatening the brother.
3:35pm - 1) Disturbance. 3804 W Diversey. Male loitering and drinking in front. 2) Disturbance. 2941 N Avers. Homeless people in and out of a vacant property.
3:36pm - Landlord/tenant dispute. 3646 W Cortland.
4:07pm - Battery in progress. 3018 N Milwaukee. Three male Whites fighting.
4:28pm - Criminal damage. 2839 N Lawndale. All of the apartment windows and the car windows were just broken out by a group in front. The address isn't a good one. St. Hyacinth's Church is at that address.
5:00pm - Domestic disturbance. 1718 N Springfield. Caller wants to beat up his girlfriend.
5:05pm - Beat car 2535 asks for a call back on the 5pm job.
5:06pm - No answer on the 5:06pm call back. Job is coded 19P.
5:07pm - Beat 2593 has a stolen vehicle in the alley of 3022 N Milwaukee. He ran the plate and stuff. He's taking in two. Another unit is needed to drive the car in.
5:15pm - Car alarm. 3725 W Shakespeare. It's been going off all day.
5:20pm - Unit has a traffic stop at Diversey and Tripp.
5:31pm - Beat 2593 had a 501 (unavoidable traffic stop) at 3000 N Pulaski. He's going in with one.
6:22pm - Disturbance. Armitage and Hamlin. A female, probably a prostitute, jumped into the caller's car and refuses to get out. That's probably because the caller had his car doors open.
6:30pm - The 6:22pm caller is calling back to cancel. The female got out of his car and went towards Ridgeway on Armitage.
6:33pm - Parker. 4000 block of W Barry. Premits.
6:44pm - I have to go eat, and with that, I'm gone for tonight. Good night, everyone, and I'll be back tomorrow at this time.
