School Bus Involved In Accident @ Milwaukee/Central Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 7:08am. It's a mostly cloudy morning, with temps in the lower 60s. It's a warm morning for late October, too, and actually, today's going to get into the upper 70s with sunshine. We'll see how this goes, as this is supposedly the very last warm day we're going to have in the foreseeable future. Tomorrow will be warm too, but then it's supposed to cool down again. Anyway, I'm monitoring 25 this morning from now until about 8:30 or so, then I have to go to my English class. I will come back at about 1:30pm or so and will monitor the radio through some point this evening. I will be going to my Criminal Justice class in the afternoon, but I'll have my microphone headset plugged up to record the calls. Lastly, I'm going to monitor 17 for all of you residents North of Belmont tomorrow. With that, here's crime for portions of today.

7:31am - Traffic accident. Milwaukee and Central Park. School bus VS car, kids on the school bus. CFD is rolling.

7:46am - Some basic traffic control is being done on this accident. All of the kids on the bus are okay, as well as the driver and the driver of the car.

8:00am - Burglar alarm. 16XX N Harding.

8:19am - Beat car 2523 has a traffic stop at 2960 N Milwaukee Ave. That's basically where the accident is.

8:24am - Traffic accident. 3900 W Dickens.

2:28pm - Beat 2583 is doing foot patrol on the 4400 block of W Diversey this afternoon. Event number is 10011.

2:29pm - Just FYI to everyone, but Zone 12 is getting new dispatchers yet again. In January, to be exact. Lots of sarcasm exchanged between the dispatcher and the officers.

2:40pm - Suspicious vehicle. Belden and Lawndale.

2:54pm - Gang disturbance. 27XX N Harding.

3:03pm - Beat 2575Sam is heading over to Kelvyn Park High school for dismissal.

3:29pm - Beat car 2523 is investigating possible animal abuse at 30XX N Avers.

3:36pm - Missing person report. 1841 N Springfield. At the McAufflie school. Student missing.

3:53pm - The Harding/Schubert call is coded 6Boy per Beat car 2533. No clue why it was just coded.

3:58pm - Burglar alarm. 3651 W Schubert. At the Monroe school. The school should still be open, though.

4:15pm - 1) Parker. On 2535's Beat. 2) Traffic accident. On 2535's Beat.

4:17pm - Parker. On 2523's Beat.

4:20pm - Beat 2582 is doing foot patrol on Fullerton from Pulaski to Kilbourn. Event number is 12216.

4:21pm - Traffic accident. Fullerton and Hamlin.

4:28pm - Beat 2562David is asking for an event number from an on-view arrest at 3623 W Armitage. It's 12357.

4:30pm - 1) Battery in progress/check the well being. 16XX N Harding. 2) Battery victim injured. 16XX N Harding. 24 year old brother was hit with a bat by a "friend" and is bleeding.

4:31pm - Battery in progress. Pulaski and Diversey. Teens fighting on the corner.

4:46pm - Beat car 2534 is giving a flash from the 4:30pm jobs. Wanted are two vehicles, one that was a green minivan and a blue 4-door Toyota that had four males in both vehicles. It went south on Harding, then west on North Avenue towards Pulaski.

4:53pm - Battery in progress. 3800 block of W Dickens. People in a gray car fighting.

4:58pm - Person calling for help. 19XX N Pulaski. Male requesting CPD with another man screaming in the background, open line.

5:12pm - Gang disturbance. 31XX N Monticello. Seven males on the corner throwing up gang signs.

5:35pm - 1) Disturbance. 3121 N Milwaukee Ave. In front of the Red Apple. Male White with a red jacket, blue jeans and white shoes is selling food and brought a watch, caller thinks he's drunk. What? 2) Gang disturbance. Kelvyn Park. Large group in the park, harassing the neighbors.

5:57pm - There might have been a call in the area, but I'm not sure.

6:33pm - Parker. On 2525's Beat.

7:12pm - 1) Criminal damage. Wabansia and Monticello. 2) Sex offense. 3753 W Belmont.

7:14pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
