Hey, is there a specific beat that we're supposed to go to? I'd love to start getting involved. I'm somewhat new to Chicago, so I'm not so familiar with the beat system.

Joanna, yes, there is a specific Beat meeting you're supposed to go to. Like with me, for example, I live on Beat 2523 and I go to the meeting on the 24th at 3160 N Milwaukee.

If you'd like to find out your Beat, go to www.chicagopolice.org. Once you there, go to "community", then when you see the list come up, click on Districts. You can select any one. Once you get to the District page, there should be a box on the right side of the page that says "Find your District and Beat". When you find that box, you then type in your address, then click on "Show my District and Beat". Once you do that, you'll see that a district and Beat number has came up in the box. Once you determine what Beat you're on, you can come back to this list of Beat meetings, find your Beat number then find when your meeting will be.
