Hello, everyone! I hope all of you are doing well and have had a wonderful year so far! As we come to a close for the year of 2015, I wanted to say that I miss all of you. I sincerely apologize for all of those out there who were let down by my announcement in July 2014 when I announced that I was ending this blog. I am hoping that the neighborhood outside of my immediate area has been very quiet and despite my absence from being involved, things continue to improve. To give a brief update on what I'm doing nowadays and everything, I have earned my Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice as of May 2015 from Wright College, and completed my first semester at Northeastern Illinois University a few weeks ago. I am obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies. With being a part-time Testing Specialist (proctoring tests) at Wright College, it changed my mind a lot on what exactly it is I want to do. I am planning on going into the Higher Education field or in a related field so that I can have a career in that sector, serving students. I have a number of plans and time will just have to tell what God wants me to do (I am a born-again Christian for those who did not know, and not ashamed whatsoever to admit it). My time management skills are getting a bit better, but I still have a lot of obligations to fulfill. Lastly, I still have a LOT of archives from this blog from months and years ago, going back to June 2013, to listen to. Which brings me to the point of doing this post.
I wanted to get an idea on your opinions regarding the archives I have yet to do, spanning from 2013. In your honest opinion, should I or should I not do them? Your feedback would REALLY be appreciated. If I get a majority of comments indicating no, I will no longer pursue this. It will greatly free up my time, and it may actually put me at a step closer in coming back to do this blog at some point in 2016. If yes, I should do them, I will begin to work on them this week. Please, do take the time to express any feedback you have.
With that said, here is the latest status on whether this blog will permanently end or not. In all honestly, I do not have much time right now to keep the blog updated daily or even once a week. There is simply too much I still need to get done. Though, with me being on break from school and work for the summer until January 12th, there is a good chance that I will be able to catch up on a lot of archives as well as personal things. So with that said, if everything works out the way I plan for it to, I plan on making a full come back for this blog by March or April of 2016. By that time, I also want to begin putting my foot back in the door of neighborhood involvement. Since I ended this blog a year and a half ago, I have not attended any community meetings or CAPS Beat meetings.
If anyone wants to at all help keep this effort, or to even contribute ideas, please do let me know. I will still be checking my crime blotter e-mail address (avondalelscrimeblotter@gmail.com). The Facebook page was deleted due to inactivity, but if and when I make a come back, I will create a new one. I will also have a Twitter account. The blog will NOT be deleted, as I want to keep it up to give people an idea of how things have happened over the years, and there is possibility that I may return in the near future. I truly want to have this effort keep going. There are not many words I can describe to say how I would feel if there was another strong leader who could take charge and pick up from where I left off. I want this momentum to be revived and brought back to my original vision of being a neighborhood voice, to unify people and keep each other informed.
Hoping that you and your families had a joyful and peaceful holiday season, and here is to a great 2016! Happy New Year!!
Truly Yours,
Tim "Timmy" Granzow

Good morning, everyone. I would just like to announce which archives I plan on working on today:
Saturday, January 2, 2015:
- Friday, June 7, 2013 from 8:34pm to 12:00am (Zone 3)
- Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 11:35am to 2:02pm (Zone 3); possibly??
- Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 4:22pm to 8:52pm (Zone 1); possibly??
Please be advised that this list will be updated at least twice daily, as unforeseeable events may occur to where I may not be able to get to listen to the archives. This also applies to me also being on schedule, or in the event where I may even get ahead of schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please leave a comment here or shoot me an email at avondalelscrimeblotter@gmail.com. I look forward to getting these archives done and giving all of you some nostalgia as you look back over the previous year of our efforts combine to better our community. If you would like more information on where exactly this blog is going and other information, please just refer to the previous post.
Thank you,

BULLETIN: Update From Tim/Archives Status
Hello, everyone! I hope all of you are doing well and have had a very Merry Christmas and holiday season. I do want to wish all of you well and hope all of you have been doing great. I sincerely apologize for all of those out there who were let down by my announcement in July 2014 when I announced that I was ending this blog. I am hoping that the neighborhood outside of my immediate area has been very quiet and despite my absence from being involved, things continue to improve. To give a brief update on what I'm doing nowadays and everything, I still attend Wright College and will be graduating in May with my Associate's in Criminal Justice, though Criminal Justice is not a field I really want to go into anymore. With the job I had over the summer, it changed my mind a lot on what exactly it is I want to do. I am planning on going into Business Administration or in a related field so that I can work and have a career in an office environment, serving others. Though, I may also go into a career related in Criminal Justice. I have a number of plans and time will just have to tell what God wants me to do (I am a born-again Christian for those who did not know, and not ashamed whatsoever to admit it). I am still involved in Student Government at school. I'll only have two classes this upcoming semester, plan to still be involved in SGA and I am also currently job hunting, trying to find a part-time position (which, actually, is pretty promising for one particular job I applied for at school). My time management skills are still pretty bad, and I still have a lot of obligations to fulfill. Lastly, I still have a LOT of archives from this blog from months and years ago, going back to I think 2012, to listen to. Which brings me to the point of doing this post. I wanted to let all of you that as of this evening, I am going to FINALLY begin posting calls and/or posts from archives I have during the time I blogged.
With that said, here is the latest status on whether this blog will permanently end or not. In all honestly, I do not have much time right now to keep the blog updated daily or even once a week. By that time, I also want to begin putting my foot back in the door of neighborhood involvement. Since I ended this blog in July, I have not attended any community meetings or CAPS Beat meetings. I would my own CAPS meetings for my Beat, but I'm taking a class this semester that conflicts with the time of my Beat meetings.
Please find below the list of archives I will be starting tonight, December 26, 2014:
