Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a beautiful late night outside, in the upper 60s with clear skies. It'll be in the 80s today, so I hope you all go out to enjoy the weather. Call On Avers, Parker On Fletcher

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:39pm. School was decent, for the most part, except for two or so fights that broke out. But I'm home now. Anyway, it's a really nice day out, and I hear this beautiful weather will last through the weekend, which is excellent for me, as I've got a lot of events on Saturday to attend :). In addition to a block clean-up I'm involved in, I will be going to a football game, to cheer on the people from my school on the team as they have a game with another team. That should really be fun, and I hope Sullivan wins. Also, folks, I'm STILL dealing with harassment from this "Dan" guy. He really wants me shut down, arrested and convicted. I don't know what I've done to him personally for him to be doing this, but I will be figuring out what I need to do (legally, of course). Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.

9:15pm - I need to quit blogging for tonight, so I can send out some quick emails and stuff to people before I have to go to bed. Good night, everyone, and see you all tomorrow. Sweet dreams!

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2:34pm. First, I really have to say thank you for ALL of your support, from everyone. You don't know how much I appreciate all of the support. These last two days have been an absolute emotional roller coaster for me, but it makes me glad to know that there are so many of you rallying behind me. I really, really have to thank all of you for that. If I could give out a big hug, I would right now. But enough of the mushy stuff. Anyway, for those interested, there is a block clean-up on Ridgeway from Milwaukee to Schubert on Saturday from 12:30-2PM. Please email me for more info. Gang Disturbance On Springfield

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 3:22pm. I'm having a bad day. I'm just frustrated about SO many things right now. I have to take tomorrow off from school to run some important errands that involve fixing this community. Here's crime for this afternoon and evening.

5:55pm - I need to make a phone call. I'll be back real soon.

5:57pm - Got no answer, so I'm back.

8:32pm - Theft. 4183 W Nelson.

8:35pm - Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski.

8:59pm - Be honest, guys. Is me listening into the police scanner illegal, or does it feel illegal? I'm so sick of people throwing FCC laws in my face about this topic. I'm about to burst because of it. I'm considering just ending this blog, and stopping all of my involvement in the community. What's the point?? You get nothing but lazy asses or people screaming at you. I don't need that, either. I could be involved with school activities, but no, I rush home to listen to the scanner, for all of you. Because I care about the community. But if I hear ANYTHING one more time about the FCC laws, I'm just going to shut my scanner off, throw it out the window and never listen again. Ever. I'm really close to just sticking up the middle finger at all of you. You complain about crime one minute, but can't stand it that I'm listening in. Which one is it going to be?!!? With that, I'M OUT FOR TONIGHT. Screw this!

Parker On Barry

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 3:31pm. I haven't had too good of a day. Lots of BS with getting picked up and dropped off by the school bus. I can't say what's going on, because of liability and slander laws, but I can say I'm really sick of it, and that I wish I was riding the CTA to school instead. Anyway, it's a nice day outside, which is good with me. Also, I may leave for a time sometime this afternoon. I won't be gone longer than 30-35 minutes, though. I'm just running to Walgreens to buy some stuff that I need. With that, here's crime for this afternoon and early evening.

3:32pm - Beat 2562Adam is dispersing three for gang loitering at 2814 N Avers.

Parker On Beat 2524

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:00am. It's a pretty cold and cloudy early October day. It's only about 49 or 50 degrees right now. But it's supposed to warm up to near 60, with the sun coming out. Anyway, on this Saturday, from 12:30-2:00pm, a clean-up is being done on Ridgeway, from Milwaukee to Schubert. If you are interested and would like know some information, such as where we will meet, please email me. That's all about I have to say for now, so here is crime for this morning and afternoon.

4:34pm - Burglar alarm. 3651 W Schubert. At Monroe school. Annex building, east motion.

The shooting may happen because of an internal conflict between the MLDs. The "governor" of the MLD section of Dickens and Moblie got into with some other high-ranking MLD on Friday in a night club. This shooting would be retaliation for that argument/fight. Officers are advised to keep their eyes and ears open, and to use caution. I'm putting this out there because the MLD sections of Karlov and Palmer and Keystone and Palmer are in the coverage area, on Beat 2525.

5:07pm - Traffic accident. 1609 N Avers.

7:04pm - I have to go eat, and with that, I'm gone for the night. See you tomorrow. Have a good night.

Beat 2523 CAPS Meeting This Evening (9-22-10)

Good evening, everyone. The meeting this month had, I hate to say, pretty poor attendance. I was excepting more people. So, moving on to the old issues from August:

Old problems:
* Ken-Well Park - There has been gang loitering and drug dealing in the park. CAPS Sergeant Tim Weiglein says that the District Park car, Beat 2505 on the radios, has been paying special attention to the park.

Before I move on to the new problems, I'd like to let you all know that search warrants were done in the 4100 block of W Barry and the 3100 block of N Monticello, according to Sgt. Weiglein. At these search warrants, large amount of drugs were found. Also, I received word that there was an attack on the 2900 block of N Kostner last night around 9:45pm. A teenage boy was on his way home from night school, when a male came out of nowhere and "savagely" attacked this boy. I heard that the boy was injuried in the attack. No word on his condition.

And now to the new problems:

New problems:
* Barry/Harding/Springfield - There is a problem with parking in this general area. There is also gang loitering in the area, particulary by the ASPIRA school on Barry.
* On Belmont, there is shady activity going on. This shady activity includes gang members loitering, and them asking kids who go to a nearby school if they want drugs.
* Your's truly brought up a concern a reader shared with me regarding 2933 N. Avers, with trespassers. I also brought up a building that is a problem on the corner of George and Ridgeway.

Other observations:
> This was one of the greatest meetings I've ever been to. I was given a "Community Service Award" (see picture). It was presented to me by Sgt. Weiglein. The whole room clapped and I thought I heard a cheer or two. It felt great to get an award, especially what I do to try to keep all of you safe in the community. This work I do isn't for me to get praise and glory for myself. It's for all of you, to make sure every single person has a safe community that we can be proud of.
> The most incidents took place in the 2900 block of N Lawndale. The most crimes were criminal damage (18 reported incidents), theft (15 reported incidents) and motor vehicle theft (14 reported incidents). The most incidents took place on Saturdays and Thursdays. Most incidents took place on the street (32 reported incidents) and in apartments (20 reported incidents). The most incidents took place in the 1pm, 8pm and 10pm hours.

As I do in every Beat meeting post, I extend my thanks to all for being involved in this meeting. We are making progress for sure, I think, but work still needs to be done. Further more, I am very thankful to be welcomed at the meetings by everyone. Once again, I ask for those residents who read the blog but don't come to the meetings (because they don't want to), please, come! It only takes ONE hour of your time, and we need all of the help we can get.

Thank you,
Timmy

Fire On Washtenaw

Good morning, everyone, it's 5am. This is the first full day of no more anonymous comments on this blog. Once again, I apologize to all of you well meaners out there, but I'm not going to let a certain idiot comment to where I get depressed. I don't need depression right now. I have so much going on in my life as it is. Anyway, I'm monitoring 14 this morning for all of you. With that, here's crime before I leave this morning.

5:17am - Fire. 1806 N Washtenaw.

I'm really fucking sick of that person's comments, and with this, he'll no longer be able to comment. I don't need this shit. I've got enough things going on in my life right now to be breaking down in depression or anything. If you don't want to sign up for an account, but want me to see your comments, email me. My email is on my profile.

Shooting On Monticello Friday Night

Hey, everyone. I am going to share this information with all of you in regards to a shooting that occurred at 10:39pm on Friday night. This incident transpired in the 3200 block of N. Monticello Avenue, according to this Chicago Breaking News article. The 17th District Police Officers responded to calls for "Shots Fired" to hear that a 29 yr old man had been shot in the chest. I guess the police didn't find him at first, as the victim's friends took him to Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital, but they did find him once he was transferred to Illinois Masonic.

All I can really say is, wow. Another shooting. It's sad. And it's even more sadder than Alderman Colon has yet to address the gang violence along Belmont from Central Park to Ridgeway. Yes, I think this is gang related. It has to be. Look where it happened at. Well, in the long run, all I can do is suggest that those of you living there make your voice heard. Go to CAPS meetings, call 911 as often as you have to, form a block club. Get involved in the community. Doing just that can make things a whole lot better. I'm a living witness to that.

2:50pm - The 2:12pm guy was not shot. He suffered cuts to his hand, though, after falling down trying to get away from the gunfire. He's going to Norwegian American Hospital for the cuts. Also, there were confirmed shots fired at the scene. Several witnesses told police this.

2:51pm - The 11:38/2:12/2:34 and 2:35pm jobs are ALL related. This is some kind of on-going dispute between two groups. The gunshots from Dickens and Hamlin at 2:12 where in retaliation from the car trying to run over people from the 11:38 incident. It sounds like the guy who suffered the cuts to his hand was an innocent bystander who got caught in the crossfire.

4:59pm - Traffic accident. Milwaukee and Avers.

6:37pm - Shots Fired. Kelvyn Park.
