Good afternoon, everyone, it's 3:13pm. What a tiring day. School was good, but we had a basketball game for part of the day, which has tired me out. But I'll make it, this is a pretty short week, after all. Anyway, I have a block club meeting I will be attending tonight at Monroe school. Hoping it's a productive meeting, but I have a feeling it will be. So I'll be monitoring until 5:12. With that, here's crime until then.
3:32pm - Suspicious person. 3601 W Wrightwood. Two men lurking around the area, up to something.
4:31pm - Gang disturbance. Kedvale and Palmer. Two men each posted on all four corners, yelling gang slogans and throwing objects.
4:36pm - Some call at 3110 N Davlin.
4:46pm - The 4:31pm gangbangers are now on the 2300 block of Kedvale doing that.
5:12pm - I'm going to go. I'll see you all tomorrow afternoon. Goodnight, everyone.

Nosey neighbors.
Better than being apathetic like most people in this community.
I would rather be apathetic than be retaliated against by the gangbangers. I believe in some hoods the gangs and thugs have more control than the police. Sad but true.
Lurkers? How do you lurk? It sounds like something out of one of those old horror movies.
It actually kind of does, bobbo.
americanlt, I don't understand it. You would think in a neighborhood like Englewood, Humboldt Park, or Austin, there would be a bunch of apathetic residents, but I have discovered that some of those areas have more than TWICE the amount of groups and involved residents than those of us in Avondale and Logan Square have! If you ask me, if you're living in the community and paying rent to stay where you are, there is no reason to be apathetic. None whatsoever. If I were the mayor, I would have a law requiring all law-abiding residents to be involved in their community, unless they're held down at a job, college, with kids or something like that. But other than that, you would be required to go to meetings. You can still be involved and active in the community without gangbangers knowing who you are.
