Possible Human Heart Found W/ Knife In It On Ridgeway

Good morning, everyone, it's 3:12am. It's a clear overnight with temps in the upper 60s. Warm but beautiful. Anyway, I'm only monitoring for a little bit at this time, and then I plan to wake up by 9 or 10am to monitor all day until midnight. Tomorrow, I'll be monitoring the Gay Pride Parade in Uptown and Lakeview on my other blog. Also, I'm taking Monday off from blogging. Just need a day to myself. So that means no blogging from me on this blog tomorrow or Monday. We'll see how that goes, and we'll see how crime goes today.

3:14am - Found property?? 27XX N Ridgeway. Caller found what they believe to be a human heart with a knife in it on the porch. Oh my God, that is SO disgusting. I hope that's not what it is...

3:27am - Beat car 2523Robert would like their RD number that they pulled for a "041Adam" (shooting) from earlier. Not sure where this happened at, though. It's HV348539.

8:14am - Drug call on 2535's Beat.

8:40am - Parker. On 2523's Beat.

9:16am - 1) Recover the stolen vehicle. 44XX W Barry. 2) Parker. On 2525's Beat.

9:24am - Beat car 2523 is asking for a call back on the Barry job. Dispatch is going to try it.

9:25am - Turns out the wrong address was given for Barry. It's on the 4000 block, not 4400. 2523 is heading over now.

9:27am - Alarm. 21XX N Karlov.

9:34am - 2523 is running a VIN from the Barry job.

9:52am - Beat 5375 is asking for a Beat car to meet him at 24XX N Lowell regarding an investigation he's doing. 2535 will head over.

9:57am - Just so everyone aware, but Beat 5140 is saying that there's a gun turn-in taking place in 25 at 5312 W North Ave from 10am to 4pm. He wants officers to be aware so that they don't get alarmed when they stop people with guns over in that area.

9:58am - Beat 2599 is saying that the gun turn-in on North is already open and there's about 20 people in line.

10:03am - They're calling back on Barry.

2:24pm - Suspicious person. 24XX N Springfield.

3:10pm - Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski. At the Walgreens. Female is aggressively panhandling in front.

4:05pm - Disturbance. 25XX N Lowell. Basement tenants who are supposed to be leaving because they were evicted are refusing to go.

4:08pm - Narcotics. Wellington and Pulaski. Two adults doing cocaine with their kids in the car.

4:37pm - Reckless driver. Milwaukee and Belmont. Older man appears drunk or disorientated driving a black truck nearly hit the caller's car. The plate is FFG87.

5:14pm - Person w/ a gun. Armitage and Pulaski. Group of gangbangers standing on the corner and the one with a gun is a male Hispanic, 17 years old, short, slim build, 160 lbs with a white tanktop and black shorts on.

5:17pm - A slow down is being given on the 5:14pm job.

10:44pm - 1) Traffic accident. Belmont and Ridgeway. 2) Some call on Palmer. 3) Numerous disturbances and smaller priority calls pending.

11:08pm - Person w/ a gun. Koz Park. Male Black, 18 years old, white tanktop, is behind the fieldhouse with a gun.

11:11pm - Shots Fired. Koz Park. One shot heard.

11:14pm - Beat car 2524Robert is hearing loud reports in the area just east of Koz Park, possibly off of Ridgeway or Hamlin. Sound like gunshots.

11:44pm - Some call at 17XX N Lawndale.
