Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's an extremely busy night for our fine men and women in 25, and to tell you all the truth, it hasn't this busy in a loooong time. The south end of 25, as usual, is the most busiest, and the most calls are coming in just south of the coverage area on 2534's and 2535's Beats, around the Division/Pulaski area, for gang fights, gunshots, etc. Wow. Well anyway, I'm monitoring 25 from now until I go to bed at some point around 1am or so. Then, I won't be back until Tuesday, as I'll be covering the Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade for my other blog over in Uptown and Lakeview all day. And on Monday, I'm taking a day off from both blogs. We'll see how today is here in Avondale and Logan Square, here's crime.
12:07am - Loud music disturbance. 44XX W Deming. Loud party.
12:11am - I'm going to go. Have a good night, everyone, and I'll be back tomorrow.
12:44am - I'm back, for now.
12:55am - Some disturbances, parkers, etc. on 2524Robert's, 2525R's and 2535R's Beats. It's REALLY busy tonight. Wow.
1:10am - Criminal trespass. 40XX W Wellington. Man who was told not to come back is drunk and is back on scene.
1:48am - Battery in progress. 19XX N Lawndale. Two males fighting out in front.
1:54am - Loud music disturbance. 29XX N Lawndale.
1:58am - Ok, I'm gone for real. Good night folks. See you all on Tuesday!
10:00pm - I'm FINALLY back. Good evening, folks. I've had such a long day over on Zone 2/Citywide 6, covering the whole GLPP thing, and I'm just ready to listen to our area now. Though, if a major incident unfolds as the festivities are ending in Uptown, I'll switch back over. But I should be here until midnight.
10:21pm - Explosion. 50XX W Van Buren. Keeps happening in the alley every minute. Not at all in our area, but hey, might be something serious. We'll see...
10:34pm - Person wanted. Cortland and Springfield. Male wanted for battery. Call has a little while on it.
10:37pm - Beat car 2535R is coding out the 10:34pm job as a 19Boy.
11:03pm - Disturbance. 16XX N Avers. Neighbors are putting cocktails on the patio and are singing so loud that they're keeping the block up.
12:00am - I'm going to go. I'll be back on Tuesday. Good night, everyone, and be safe!

Wow, 25 is going up for grabs. We should be able to hold the police responsible for the lack of crime control. Perhaps cuts in pay or firing the lazy officers?
8:15 This might be the summer when the National Guard will have to come in. CPD has this "us versus them" mentality that doesn't help the community.
Realy? How about you hold the Mayor responsible for all this crime. The city needs to hire more police. The police are stretched way to thin as it is, and can only do so much.
The CPD has enough manpower. They need to start integrating more into the community. When was the last time you saw an officer wave hi to a citizen? CAPS is a good program but needs to be expanded.
Most of the city's police dept. seems out of shape. Can't the city put a physical fitness test requirement for police officers to keep their job?
