Lady Gets Hit In Eye With Firecracker @ Armitage/Hamlin

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a hot night with temps in the mid 80s right now, with clear skies. It's only going to dip into the lower 80s for tonight, and then during the day it's supposed to get into the lower 100s again, making things extremely hot. Continued heat wave in Chicago. Today, I'm monitoring 25 most of the day, with the exception of from 5:45pm to 7pm, as I'll be monitoring 17 during that time period. With that, here's crime for today.

12:00am - EMS run. Armitage and Hamlin. Lady hit in the eye with a firecracker. Oh lord....

8:11am - I'm back. Good morning, everyone.

8:43am - Burglar alarm. 30XX N Monticello.

9:40am - Beat car 2535 is getting a recovery and two parkers on his Beat.

10:05am - Traffic accident. 31XX N Davlin. In the alley.

10:27am - Parker. On 2523's Beat.

10:55am - Beat 2563Adam is doing a post-shooting mission in the area of Pulaski and North Ave.

11:05am - Check the well being. 37XX W McLean. One-month old baby is with his mother, who's a substance abuser.

11:36am - Check the well being. 29XX N Kostner. Naked child running through the yards.

12:07pm - Burglar alarm. 17XX N Ridgeway.

12:49pm - Disturbance. 3758 W Armitage.

1:14pm - The 12:49pm job is now coming in as an "assault in progress".

2:01pm - Battery in progress. George and Springfield. Two males fighting.

2:05pm - A slow down is being given on the 2:01pm job. No one is out there.

2:53pm - Criminal damage in progress. 30XX N Haussen. Male White with an orange shirt is attempting to break into a blue Chevy in front.

2:55pm - Beat 2583 is doing a foot patrol mission on the 4400 block of W Diversey. Event number is 13609.

3:42pm - Request for a supervisor. 22XX N Karlov.

4:20pm - Assault in progress. 22XX N Lawndale. Gangbangers threatening the caller.

4:34pm - Disturbance. 40XX W Oakdale. Something happened to the caller's car. 911 couldn't understand the caller because they have broken English.

4:36pm - 2523 is saying that they're doing a burglary from auto report on Pulaski around Oakdale, so the 4:34pm job might be another car burglary. They'll go over there when they're finished writing out the report for their victim on Pulaski.

5:45pm - I'm here with 17, until 7.

5:59pm - Traffic accident. 3322 W Belmont. In the parking lot.

6:22pm - Another call on Belmont, at 3322.

7:00pm - I'm back with 25 now.

7:47pm -  Some kind of job on the 1800 block of N Pulaski.

8:18pm - Some call in the area.

8:34pm - My computer is experiencing technical issues, so I'm just going to get off for the night. I'll be back tomorrow. Good night, folks.
