Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:32pm. School was ... that, school. No need to mention it. Just glad to be home for the evening. I've been tired all day. And today's drama didn't help. Anyway, the block club meeting I went to last night was pretty productive. It wasn't quite a meeting that a block club should be, but hey, that group's just starting out. I'm sure they will be a powerful group come summer. Well, I'm not sure what else to say, so here's crime for this (very) late afternoon and early evening.
4:44pm - Person w/ a gun. Palmer and Keystone. Two male Hispanics with black hoodies with guns. There was a better description but I couldn't get it in time.
4:46pm - A slow down is being given by Beat car 2535. Though, they have those two guys.
5:14pm - Gang disturbance. Drummond and Kostner. Six on the corner, doing what they do.
6:42pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.
6:58pm - I'm back.
7:15pm - 2535 is doing a premise check at 1747 N Springfield.
7:36pm - Disturbance. George and Hamlin. Someone on the 2nd floor of a building is shooting off a BB gun.
7:39pm - Beat car 2523 is at 2923 N Hamlin in regards to the 7:36pm job.
9:07pm - I have to go. Have a goodnight, everyone, and see you all in the morning.

I was looking for your crime report yesterday. Did crime take a day off yesterday?
Americanlt, yesterday, I monitored from about 3:20 to 3:53pm, and there were no incidents to report, so I couldn't blog anything. After that, I spent time preparing for a meeting I went to later in the evening.
As usual, just lies about men with guns just to get the cops there quicker. Or just someone playing with their phone to joke on some dukes walking about. Most of these gun calls are nonsense.
Hi Prodigal,
As someone who hates the level of crime in our area, I have a lot of admiration for your efforts.
You are obviously active in parts of the community. Have you been in contact or worked with any Alderman candidates?
Diversey/Central Park, not to take any credit away from Prodigal, but I am mainly the one doing the efforts in the neighborhood. Some folks consider me the most active person in our community.
About the alderman candidates, personally, I do not endorse a particular candidate, or at least try not to. That is because I hope whoever wins the elections will do something about crime/disorder in our neighborhood. Some candidates may have a good personality, or say they will do a lot to improve their wards, but when they come to office, they never follow their word.
Thanks for your comment. This is Timmy, by the way.
