Good morning, everyone, it's 8:37am. It's a cold and cloudy late December morning, but that's winter. Speaking of winter, Saturday is Christmas, and Friday is Christmas Eve :). I'm happy that these two holidays are coming up, as they're almost always fun and exciting for my family and I. Anyway, I'm monitoring 14 today. Tomorrow, I'm doing my usual monitoring of 25, then I'll monitor 17 overnight tomorrow night/Wednesday morning. With that, here's crime for today.
8:38am - Disturbance w/ a mental. 1734 N Paulina. Former female tenant in a pink jacket and black hat is sitting on the 2nd floor stairs, refusing to leave. Should've just been made a disturbance probably.
8:46 to 9:05am - There were probably a couple of calls, but I forgot the details. Sorry. I'll listen to this time period tomorrow.
9:11am - Traffic accident. Cortland and Fairfield. Two cars, no injures, but one car is undriveable.
9:14am - An update has just came in from that accident. The drivers are arguing.
9:24am - Suspicious vehicle. 3574 W Shakespeare. Two male Whites have been sitting in a vehicle in front for a while.
10:07am - Burglar alarm. 1753 N Wood.
10:22am - Missing person. On 1421's Beat.
10:25am - Burglar alarm. 2106 N Hoyne.
10:46am - Disturbance. 3100 W Lyndale. Poster worker is calling to say that five male Blacks told her to move her truck because they're not moving their truck.
11:15am - Criminal damage. 2854 N Milwaukee. A car's windows were busted out in front of the Dollar Store.
11:54am - Commercial alarm. 2600 N Elston.
11:55am - Traffic accident. Kimball and Cortland. Four cars involved. The offending vehicle fled.
12:09pm - EMS run. 1847 W Dickens. 84 yr old female is not answering the door.
12:13pm - Check the well being. 1941 N Hoyne. Caller says he's going to pull his vehicle into the garage and then kill himself.
12:20pm - Disturbance. 2305 W Fullerton. Kids throwing garbage.
12:30pm - Parker. 2626 N Sawyer.
12:36pm - 1) Disturbance. 1681 N Milwaukee. Drunk male walked into the daycare center, then went to sleep on the floor. 2) Water Main break at 2641 W Logan. 3) Traffic accident. Wabansia and Ashland.
12:50pm - Information for the police. 1626 N Washtenaw.
1:02pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 2339 N California. Female Hispanic in her late 60s in a long red coat is in the lobby, bothering people. They want her removed. The last time she was there, she took all of her clothes off.
1:07pm - Disturbance. 1701 N Milwaukee. Drunk man causing problems in the Wicker Park-Bucktown library.
1:10pm - Barking dog. 2953 N Kedzie.
1:36pm - Disturbance. 3412 W Armitage. Drunk guy disturbing people in the clinic.
1:41pm - Assist the PO. Armitage and Drake. Beat 5521 has a foot chase with a male who's holding his side. Details to follow...
1:43pm - 5521 just came on Zone 3's air. He's ok. He lost the guy. A slow down is being given.
1:44pm - Beat car 1411 asks for a gang loitering event number from Diversey and Albany. It's
1:45pm - Another slow down is being given. The guy is in custody at 3528 W Armitage.
2:52pm - Assault in progress. 2426 N Kedzie.
2:55pm - Some call in the 2600 block of N Sawyer.
3:30pm - Assault in progress. Dickens and California. Two males about to fight in the alley.
3:47pm - Check the well being. Fullerton and Western. Man stuck on the bridge.
3:49pm - Threatening suicide. 3250 W Dickens. The neighbor is threatening to kill himself.
4:01pm - There's a call at 2211 N Mozart.
4:16pm - Assault in progress. Elston/Western/Diversey. Female in the back of a cab is screaming and kicking the back seat.
4:27pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 3334 W Palmer. 2) Suspicious vehicle. Diversey and California. Male White in a vehicle by the tree lot, watching customers.
4:39pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 1722 N Sawyer.
5:00pm - Municipal ordinance violation. 2959 N Mozart.
5:39 to 5:52pm - Fell asleep. Sorry. I'll get this time period tomorrow also.
5:59pm - Panic alarm. 1960 N Milwaukee.
6:01pm - Beat car 1413 has a traffic stop at Lawndale and Fullerton.
6:03pm - 1) Disturbance. 2846 N Milwaukee. Intoxicated male sleeping in the doorway. 2) Burglar report. 3135 W Fullerton.
6:07pm - Beat car 1414 pulls a curfew mission event number for later. It's 11451.
6:12pm - Traffic accident. North and the Kennedy Expressway.
6:13pm - Burglar report. 3215 W Altgeld.
6:14pm - Tow truck needed at Cortland and Honore.
6:16pm - Battery in progress. Fullerton and Kimball. Two people fist-fighting on CTA bus #1210, which is heading towards Belden on Kimball.
6:42pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back.
7:00pm - I'm back until midnight.
7:18pm - EMS run. 2837 N Elston. 1 yr old ate something which he is allergic to, and paramedics want CPD on scene.
7:26pm - Disturbance. 1629 N Central Park. Intoxicated female is laying on the side of the building. Caller wants her gone.
7:38pm - Burglar alarm. 1915 N Damen. 1st floor, west motion.
8:20pm - Traffic accident. 1930 N Kedzie.
8:38pm - There was a call at Kimball and Wrightwood, but I forgot the details.
8:40pm - Suspicious person. Lyndale and Campbell. Two males did something, then hopped into a car really fast and took off.
8:52pm - The 8:40pm job is now a robbery. Four male Blacks in a red Ford Explorer just robbed someone.
8:54pm - Robbery. 2306 N Spaulding. Caller was robbed by the same offenders from Campbell and Lyndale.
9:02pm - The 8:54pm job is actually a battery.
9:03pm - Person w/ a knife. 2071 N Leavitt. Caller's boyfriend is chasing him with a knife.
9:16pm - Traffic accident. 1938 N Humboldt. Injures.
9:20pm - Beat 1420 says that traffic needs to be blocked at Armitage on Humboldt going south.
9:31pm - EMS run. 3141 N Central Park. Drunk down.
9:47pm - Disturbance. 2357 W Fullerton.
10:29pm - Robbery. Altgeld and St. Louis. Caller was robbed by four males, and they're likely the same guys from Lyndale/Campbell and 2306 Spaulding.
10:32pm - Barking dog. 1832 N Albany. In the yard.
10:38pm - Burglar alarm. 2105 W Webster.
10:43pm - Loud music disturbance. 3009 W Wellington.
10:44pm - Disturbance. 3507 W Schubert. Neighbor is disturbing the peace.
10:54pm - Parker. 2150 N Atrill.
10:55pm - Gang disturbance. Troy and Wellington. 7 to 8 of them flashing signs at passing cars.
10:58pm - They're calling back on the 9:03pm job. The boyfriend's got the knife again.

11:24pm - Check the well being. 2879 N Elston. Male in a winter stocking cap seems to be in distress.
11:26pm - They're calling back at 2357 Fullerton.
11:34pm - Disturbance. 3561 W Palmer.
11:37pm - An RD number has been pulled from 3117 W Fullerton for a traffic accident. The RD is HS669924 with the event number of 16004.
11:49pm - Reckless driver. George and Francisco. Car speeding through the area.
11:51pm - Parker. 2936 N Gresham. Toyota SUV is blocking the driveway.
11:52pm - Parker. 2247 N Spaulding. Car blocking the caller's driveway.
11:57pm - A unit has a traffic stop at Kimball and Schubert.

Excellent posting today. You managed to put out many calls throughout the day. Hopefully, we can expect to see this type of reporting on a daily basis. We citizens need to be informed of these criminal type individuals. I noticed of few calls of "drunks" involved. Don't these people ever think that it's just too cold to drink booze all day?
Thanks, americanlt, but sorry to disappoint you, but there won't be reporting like this on a daily basis. Not until the summer at least. From June to September, I monitor everyday, each free minute I can get (just about all day). From September to June, I don't monitor much (especially around this time of the year) because of school (of course) and other things I'd like to do. Also, during those months, there's not as much crime, so that's why I divide my time. But I monitor all day for 14 and 17 when I monitor these districts because I only monitor them once a month (14 gets monitored at least twice a month from June to September).
I understand school is important. I like to listen to District 4 and 6 South Chicago and Gresham. It is really out of control. There was a call the other day of an officers squad car being shot at!I could hear the fear in their voices and give them a lot of respect. They had a helicopter out but they managed to get away. What type of criminal shoots at the police? It's horrible.
Just thought you'd like to know. There's going to be a 30 year reunion party near Sawyer and Altgeld for the Taylor St. Jousters. They used to hang there near the old library. It's gonna be on X-mas eve.
Those two Districts (on Zone 8) are nuts, but are no worser than Zone 6 (Districts 7 and 8, Englewood and Chicago Lawn). Zone 6 truly has to have GOOD dispatchers (not just good, but GOOD), and those two Districts have got to have officers will do their job to the fullest, and finally, it takes true courage for someone to live in either District. All of that is also true for Zone 8, South Chicago and Gresham. As for officers being shot at, it's not uncommon in that District, but it's still sad it happens. As I said, it takes a lot of courage to be an officer in a District like that.

There has been a fair amount of Taylor st Jousters WPO tags in the vicinity of Milwaukee and Talman in the last month or two. I assume it is just some guy living in the past.
I do see Simon City Royals tags in the alleys of Milawukee near Ridgeway or Lawndale. But the funny part is these so-called Royals are mexican kids. I remember the Royals were just hillbilly white kids in the past. The kids doing those tags now are just wantabes.
