Fireworks On Haussen/Happy 4th Of July

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. Happy 4th to everyone. Today is Independence Day, so that means fireworks and BBQs. But unfortunately, probably other problems, too. So I'll break down my blogging schedule for today. I'm going to blog right now until the first call comes in, then I'll stop for the night, and come back at 10:30am. When I start at 10:30, I'll go until 1pm, then I'll take a 20 minute break (which means no dinner break tonight), and then I'll be blogging until 11:30pm. After that, I have to go to bed so I can be up for summer school tomorrow. I don't have all that much to say, because I'm not feeling too hot right now, so here's crime on this 4th of July.

10:30am - I'm back. Good morning.

10:35am - Disturbance. 38XX W Wrightwood. At the halfway house.

10:37am - Traffic accident. 36XX W Palmer.

10:47am - Some call at 18XX N Springfield.

12:19pm - Child abuse. 3600 W Fullerton. Two kids left in a blue van with the windows rolled up.

1:00pm - I'm going on my break. Need to get away from this blog for a while.

1:20pm - Yeah, I'm back.

2:24pm - Parker. 28XX N Ridgeway.

2:59pm - Burglar report. 36XX W Shakspeare.

4:05pm - Gang disturbance. Ridgeway and Diversey. Five of them loitering on the corner.

4:36pm - Beat car 2523 needs EMS at 2985 N. Ridgeway, for a drunk I think.

4:41pm - Gang disturbance. Belmont and Ridgeway.

5:06pm - Some call at Cortland and Monticello.

5:21pm - Disturbance. 37XX W Diversey. Landlord VS tenant.

5:37pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 37XX W Dickens.

5:48pm - 1) Beat car 2524 is coding out the 5:21pm job. They have no way of getting into the building and there's no call-back. 2) Burglar report. Coded 19P. 27XX N Ridgeway. 3) Loud music disturbance. 44XX W Altgeld.

5:53pm - Battery in progress. 3600 W Wolfram. There's a fight going on out there.

5:57pm - Beat car 2525 needs an ambulance at 3640 on Wolfram. They've got a male battery victim.

5:58pm - 2525's offender is wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts or pants. He fled on a bike.

5:59pm - Beat 2573 is taking someone to Swedish Covenant Hospital from the 5:37pm job.

6:00pm - Beat car 2522 has 2525's offender stopped somewhere nearby.

6:16pm - Disturbance. 1627 N Pulaski. Female aggressively panhandling in the parking lot.

7:05 to 7:09pm - Didn't pay much attention. Sorry.

8:09pm - 1) Criminal trespass. 41XX W Oakdale. Six to seven kids are in a privately owned building and are flying a toy airplane around. 2) Reckless driver. 2900 block of N Kostner.

8:25pm - Disturbance. George and Avers. Drinkers and urinaters.

8:57pm - Battery. 24XX N Lawndale. Caller had a shopping car pushed into them when they confronted someone about fireworks.

9:06pm - Battery in progress. 4400 block of W Fullerton. There's a fight. Beat 6759Ida is actually at 4421 on Fullerton with a fight, calling for more cars.

9:08pm - There's a few fireworks calls in the area, including one on the 4400 block of W Altgeld.

9:10pm - There's a victim from the 9:06pm job. Ambulance was requested.

9:16pm - Fireworks at Palmer/Hamlin and Diversey/Ridgeway.

9:18pm - Shots Fired. Shakespeare and Central Park. Four to five shots heard.

9:29pm - Fireworks. Lawndale and Cortland.

9:42pm - Animal bite. 31XX N Ridgeway. 3 yr old bitten by a dog.

10:24pm - Fireworks. 41XX W Barry. Someone put firecrackers on the caller's window and the ledge caught fire.

10:26pm - 1) Fireworks. Central Park and Wrightwood. 2) Fireworks. 24XX N Lawndale. 3) Fireworks. 36XX W Dickens.

10:38pm - Person w/ a gun. 21XX N Springfield. Two males shooting off guns on the porch.

10:43pm - Battery in progress. Dickens and Lawndale. Two males fighting and a dozen people are watching.

10:45pm - Fireworks. 24XX N Harding.

10:48pm - Fire. 29XX N Hamlin. Fireworks are being thrown off, and some paper and debris just caught fire.

10:51pm - Beat car 2535Robert has a traffic stop at North and Lawndale.

10:55pm - Battery. Fullerton and Central Park. Group of gangbangers jumped on a man.

11:04pm - 1) Traffic accident. 4400 W Diversey. 2) Disturbance. 29XX N Hamlin.

11:08pm - Fireworks. 29XX N Kenneth.

11:11pm - Per the Watch Commander, 2599R, Dispatch is to code ALL fireworks complaints

11:12pm - 1) Fireworks. Wrightwood and Kildare. They're throwing them at passing cars. 2) Fireworks. 1900 N Hamlin.

11:17pm - Shots Fired. 1900 block of N Hamlin. Three shots heard.

11:28pm - Fireworks. 1900 N Harding.

11:29pm - 2535R is on a traffic stop at 23XX N Monticello.

11:30pm - 1) Battery in progress. 4400 block of W Fullerton. People fighting. 2) Disturbance. Central Park and Shakespeare. 3) Disturbance. 22XX N Lawndale. Loiters.
