Good morning, everyone, it's 8am. Today, I'm monitoring the West Garfield Park community again for anyone who lives there. I'll be monitoring until 2pm, and possibly from 7:55 to 8:53, if I don't get the archive of that time period by that time. I'll be back with 25 tomorrow. Boundaries of this community are Kinize to the north, Kenton (Kinize to Jackson) and Kolmar (Jackson to 5th Ave.) to the west, 5th Ave. (Kolmar to Kildare)/Taylor (Kildare to Independence Boulevard) to the south and Independence Boulevard to the east. Anyway, this week is not an important one for me at all. I'll just be going on a visiting tour of Roosevelt University next Saturday. With that, here's crime in the West Garfield Park community.
8:02am - Criminal Trespass in progress. 4012 W Carroll. Someone is possible inside the caller's home.
8:52am - Narcotics. 1X8 N Karlov. Six male Blacks in black jackets selling. There's one guy with a shovel, and he's holding the drugs.
8:53am - Narcotics. 42X4 W Madison. Male Black, 5'6, gray hoodie, white headband, blue jeans is selling in front. He's a known Vice Lord.
9:24am - Narcotics. Harrison and Kedvale. Transactions taking place inside a tan SUV.
9:48am - Beat 1181 needs another car at Keeler and Madison. No emergency. Beat car 1114 is coming to assist.
10:05am - Landlord/tenant dispute. 818 S Kedvale. Landlord turned off the heat and has an illegal apartment in the basement.
10:06am - Disturbance. 4048 W Madison. In the McDonalds, a male is sleeping and refuses to leave.
10:18am - Narcotics. Fulton and Kostner. Five male Blacks in the middle of the block, by the park, selling. They've got the drugs hidden in the vacant lot.
10:40am - Beat 1161David is getting some narcotics on the PDT.
12:11pm - Beat 1161Charlie needs some units at Madison and Pulaski. They have a guy fighting with them.
12:12pm - Ambulance needed at Pulaski and Madison. They just maced him.
12:13pm - Beat 1160, 1161C's supervisor, is notified. He's on the way.
12:14pm - EMS is en route for the injured offender. A disregard is being given.
12:26pm - Disturbance. 4100 W Madison. Group loitering in front of the pizza place.
12:30pm - Narcotics. 4100 W Carroll.
12:39pm - Vicious animal. 4100 W Van Buren. Two big dogs running loose, chasing kids.
1:03pm - Narcotics. 1X7 N Karlov. Group selling in front. They've got black jackets. One guy is 6'7, 120 lbs, and he's got a gun in his lap.
1:42pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 4114 W Adams. 2) Narcotics. 4400 W Jackson. 3) Narcotics. 4100 W Madison.

West Garfield Park Crime Blotter
Good afternoon, everyone, it's 2pm. Today, I'm monitoring the West Garfield Park community for anyone who lives there. I'll be monitoring until midnight. Tomorrow, I will monitor this community from 8am to 2pm. I'll be back with 25 on Monday. Boundaries of this community are Kinize to the north, Kenton (Kinize to Jackson) and Kolmar (Jackson to 5th Ave.) to the west, 5th Ave. (Kolmar to Kildare)/Taylor (Kildare to Independence Boulevard) to the south and Independence Boulevard to the east. Anyway, this upcoming week is not really an important one for me at all. I'll just be going on a visiting tour of Roosevelt University next Saturday. With that, here's crime in the West Garfield Park community.
2:00pm - Battery. Polk and Pulaski.
2:42pm - 1) Beat 1163Charlie gets some narcotic calls in 11. 2) Parker. 4345 W Monroe. Handicap spot.
2:43pm - Traffic accident. Madison and Karlov.
3:06pm - Criminal Trespass. 340 S Kostner. Three males broke into a vacant house.
3:14pm - Person w/ a gun. 24 S Kostner. In front of Big Daddy's restaurant, there's a fat guy, male Black with a blue sweater and blue jeans with a gun. He's wanted for battery.
3:25pm - Narcotics. Maypole and Kolin. Two male Blacks, one light complected with a black coat nicknamed "June", and another male Black, 6'2, dark complected, black jacket, selling drugs.
3:26pm - Narcotics. 3800 block of W Maypole. Free drug give-a-way in progress.
3:28pm - Traffic accident. Kildare and Madison. Hit and run.
3:31pm - Wanted from the 3:14pm job is a guy known as "Big Bubba". He is wearing a black jacket with green spots on the sleeves, a du rag, and he has a large face. He's on Kostner between Monroe and Wilcox.
3:46pm - Beat car 1133 is assisting an elderly woman who nearly fell down into the snow while looking for Big Bubba at Adams and Kildare. I believe she's a good citizen.
3:47pm - Now she needs EMS, at 146 S Kildare. She has shallow breathing and is slipping in and out of consciousness.
4:07pm - They're calling back on the 3:28pm job.
5:21pm - Assault in progress. 3851 W Madison. There's an argument at the nail salon and it's getting ugly.
5:22pm - 1) Beat 1163C needs an RD number for a "2024" from 3928 W Gladys. It's HT148986 with the event number is 11968. 2) Landlord/tenant dispute. 4217 W Washington. Landlord changed the locks.
6:14pm - Disturbance. 24 S Kostner. Six males loitering in the store, refusing to leave.
6:17pm - Person shot. Monroe and Keeler. Male shot in the leg.
6:25pm - Beat car 1122 talked to citizens on the street at the 6:17pm job, and they say gunshots weren't even heard. No one is shot. 19Boy.
6:45pm - Person w/ a gun. Lexington and Kilbourn. Male Black, 5'9, black jacket, tan cap has a gun in his hand.
6:59pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.
7:13pm - I'm back.
7:34pm - Beat 1106Adam is running a name at 4507 W Maypole.
7:36pm - 1106A's person needs to be taken in. He's got several outstanding warrants.
7:55 to 8:53pm - Fell asleep. Sorry. I'll get this time period tomorrow.
10:06pm - Person w/ a gun. 3926 W Wilcox. Man screaming someone pulled out a gun.
10:57pm - Beat 4391David has a street stop at 3848 W Madison.
10:59pm - 1122 just went by 3848 Madison, and doesn't see 4391D.
11:35pm - Beat 4391Adam has a traffic stop at 4022 W Madison.
11:51pm - Battery in progress. 4319 W Flournoy. Fight on the 3.
11:54pm - The 11:51pm job now comes in as a "person w/ a gun".
