Good morning, everyone, it's 9:26am. It's a mostly cloudy day with temps around 70s. It's been raining, and  I think it'll be like this all day. Monitoring 14 today. I have class in a couple of hours, but I'll have my microphone record the calls while I'm gone and I'll have the calls posted up later today. Here's crime for today.

10:11am - Beat 1446 has a station assignment to Diversey and Calfornia.

10:13am - Disturbance. 2000 W Fullerton. Female panhandler constantly going into traffic.

10:40am - Beat 1484 is doing a special attention foot patrol at Allen and Milwaukee. Event number is 06021.

11:01am - Assist the P.O. 1711 N California. At the ASPIRA school. Off-duty P.O. is holding one for assault.

11:07am - Some call at 24XX W Diversey.

11:14am - Traffic accident. Kimball and Belmont. Two cars, no injuries. No injuries.

11:16am - Beat 1495 has a traffic stop at Wabansia and Humboldt.

11:30am - Beat 1482 is doing foot patrol on Milwaukee from North Ave./Damen to Bloomingdale. Event number is 03537.

11:31am - Threatening suicide. 21XX N Kedzie. 59 year old woman refusing to take her medicine, EMS is on the way.

11:45am - 1495 is giving a code of 18Boy over at the 11:14am job. It's on 17's side.

11:51am - 1) Alarm. 22XX W Homer. 2) Beat car 1411 has a station assignment to Central Park and Milwaukee Ave.

12:03pm - Beat 1420 is having an outdoor roll call at 29XX N Allen in about 5 or so minutes. Beat 1441 is going so far.

12:04pm - Beat car 1432 is headed to the roll call.

12:17pm - EMS run. 2299 N Milwaukee Ave. Elderly female down on the sidewalk.

12:24pm - 1) Residential burglar alarm. 18XX N Hoyne. 2) 1420 is clearing the roll call, thanks everyone for coming out.

12:37pm - Disturbance. 2801 W Armitage. At the BP gas station. Male Hispanic, 35, wearing a black leather jacket, is panhandling in front.

12:45pm - The residential burglar alarm is a 14Paul per Beat 1452.

1:15pm - Disturbance/Suspicious person. 2801 W Armitage. At the BP gas station. Male Hispanic with a teal shirt, black leather jacket and black pants is putting his hands in his pocket as if he has a weapon and he is causing problems as well.

1:17pm - A slow down is being given on the 1:15pm job. Just one of the regulars per 1495.

2:18pm - Criminal damage in progress. Fullerton and Elston. Man opening a door and ripping off the scrap of the old Chicago Sun Times property.

2:42pm - 1) Burglar alarm. 26XX N St. Louis. 2) Barking dog. 16XX W North Ave. In the backyard.

3:27pm - Assault in progress. cortland francisco.

3:44pm - Parker. On 1411's Beat.

4:00pm to 4:50pm - I didn't pay attention. Sorry guys. I'll do this time period on Tuesday I guess.

4:59pm - Battery. 35XX W Belmont. Caller and their roommate was hit by a female White with a brown shirt, white jacket and white pants.

5:21pm - Criminal trespass. 24XX N Central Park. Someone damaged something.

5:26pm - A slow down is being given on the 5:21pm job.

5:30pm to 7:00pm - Again, didn't pay attention. Will do this time period on Tuesday.

7:02pm - Some call in the area.

7:34pm - I have to go eat. I'll be back soon.

Traffic Accident @ Fullerton/Keeler, School Crossing On Armitage

Good morning, everyone, it's 7:12am. It's a sunny morning with temps around 70, and today will be sunny with temps around 80. Beautiful day. I'm monitoring 25 from now until 7:35am, then will monitor some other Zones on my other blog until 8:15, at which time I'll return with 14. Today, I'm monitoring 14 until about 9:30 or so, then I have to go take care of some personal business for the rest of the day. I'm sorry, but I need to get this stuff taken care of. I'll finish my monitoring of 14 tomorrow and/or one day next week. With that, here's crime for this morning.

7:29am - Traffic accident. Fullerton and Keeler.

7:32am - School crossing needs to be covered at 3800 W Armitage.

7:35am - I'm gone with 25, and will be back with 14 in a little while. See you all then.

8:15am - I'm back with 14, for now.

8:32am - Burglary. 29XX N Fairfield.

8:34am - Disturbance. Western and Cortland. School bus blocking the intersection, trying to turn down Cortland.

8:56am - Residential alarm. 17XX N Paulina.

9:03am - Residential alarm. 17XX N Troy.

9:13am - Disturbance. 1940 W Fullerton. Female panhandler in front.

School Check @ Mozart, Drinkers In Mozart Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:15am. It's a sunny morning with temps in the upper 70s. Today's supposed to get to around 90, and with clouds and possibly rain. Today is the first day back to school for the regular track CPS schools, in addition to the year-round schools which are going back after a 3-day weekend. So basically, all CPS schools are in session today. That's a good and bad thing. The kids are off the streets now, but now we're going to hear about them fighting and causing disorder in school. This also builds up tensions between certain groups, gangs, etc. But I'm remaining hopeful that this year for all CPS students will be nothing but safe and productive. Today, I'm monitoring 25 until 2:50pm, then I will be monitoring 17 from 3:20 to 3:30, then I'll come back to Zone 12 at 4:10. From 2:50 to 3:20 and 3:30 to 4:10, I'll be covering other Zones for my other blog. Here's crime for today.

10:17am - Beat 2574 is doing a school check at Mozart, 2200 N Hamlin.

10:41am - Disturbance. Mozart Park. Drinkers in the park.

10:52am - Just an FYI, but Zone 12 is having radio problems. They're on a back-up -- well, actually, handheld radios -- right now. We might need to switch to a Citywide if conditions warrant, but we'll see.

10:57am - And we're back online. That's good.

11:31am - Parker. On 2525's Beat.

11:59am - Suspicious person. On 2535's Beat.

12:04pm - Municipal ordinance violation. Altgeld and Hamlin. Construction workers are dumping concrete down the sewer.

12:28pm - Backlog in 25 at 12:28 hours.

12:37pm - Both of Beat car 2525's jobs, the 11:58am and 12:04pm, respectively, are 19P. She's taking lunch now.

12:49pm - Beat 2576Sam is doing a school check at Ames Middle, 1920 N Hamlin.

1:30pm to 1:50pm - I wasn't paying attention. I'm sorry, guys. Don't think anything really happened, though.

2:20pm to 2:40pm - Again, I didn't pay attention. I'm sorry. I'll get this time period tomorrow. I think there were a couple of jobs in the area, too.

2:50pm - I'm going to go until 3:20. I'll be back then.

3:20pm - I'm back, with 17 now.

3:30pm - Okay, and now I'm gone until 4:10. I'll be back then. Everything sounds okay at our area schools up in 17.

4:10pm - I'm back with 25. Good afternoon, everyone.

4:11pm - Beat 2530 has a on-view traffic accident at Kildare and Diversey. Everyone's okay, but one driver has no license, so a paper car is needed.

4:16pm - Disturbance. 29XX N Ridgeway. Two drunks need to be moved along.

4:30pm - Person w/ a gun. Palmer and Keeler. Two males that jumped out of a older yellow conversion van with graffiti all over it, sliver ladder on the back and tinted windows pointed a gun at the caller's daughter's head. Fled south on one of the "K" streets in the area towards Armitage. She's at home now.

5:03pm - 1) Disturbance. 3160 N Milwaukee Ave. At the Copernicus Center. Three males in the parking lot causing a problem. 2) Assault report. 31XX N Kenneth.

5:28pm - 1) Traffic accident. 3700 W Diversey. Hit-and-run. 2) Information for the CPD. Pulaski and Fullerton. By the CVS.

5:34pm - Beat 2590 is at the 3700 Diversey accident and the offender's gone. Happened about 30 minutes ago. White car is the offending car, fled south on Lawndale towards Schubert.

5:37pm - The 3160 Milwaukee call is a 19P. Beat car 2523 shagged them.

5:45pm - New backlog in 25 at 17:45 hours.

6:01pm - Gang disturbance. Diversey and Tripp. Group of six to eight out there near some parked cars.

6:24pm - Burglar alarm. 22XX N Monticello.

6:25pm - Gang disturbance. Lawndale and Shakespeare.

6:42pm - Assault in progress. Belmont and Pulaski. Two people threatening each other.

7:04pm - 1) Gang disturbance. 21XX N Lawndale. Group between Dickens and Shakespeare on Lawndale, representing, and trying to get into a vacant building. 2) Narcotics. 27XX N Lawndale. Selling.

7:10pm - Traffic accident. Harding and Belmont. Ambulance #7 is involved.

7:18pm - A semi is involved in the 7:10pm accident. Hope everyone's okay.
