7:46pm - Battery in progress. Milwaukee and Central Park.
8:01pm - Beat car 2523 is getting flagged down at Central Park and Belmont about something happening on the 3200 block of N Central Park, in 17.
9:08pm - Shots Fired. 26XX N Hamlin. Three shots heard in the area, by the park. Not good...
9:09pm - Shots Fired. Schubert and Hamlin, and Koz Park. Seconds later, an officer says that a witness told them there were a couple of males who fired shots and fled down Hamlin north of Diversey. They were shooting in the park.
9:40pm - Curfew violators. 22XX N Lawndale.
9:41pm - Narcotics. Diversey and Lawndale. Gangbangers selling in the hallway of the known drug building.
9:52pm - I have to go. I'll be back in the morning. Good night, everyone.
And as usual, when a car from one district gets flagged down by residents of another the police usually blow them off.

ReplyDeleteWhat the heck was going on this morning over Avondale? Got woken up by what sounded like an army of helicopters around 7:15 am. I saw two fly off...news copters, maybe? It sounded like they were hovering for 15-20 minutes, then all went quiet.

ReplyDeleteOr send them back to the district where the crime occurred, hence freeing them up to handle radio calls in their own district.
You are "Chicago" police right? So if a crime occurs in Chicago handle it. Don't try to brush it off elsewhere. Do your job.
