Puerto Rican Festival Coverage, Day #3

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 4:55pm. Sorry I'm late. I've been listening since about 12:30, but off and on, and there were no PR Fest-related calls whatsoever until about 2:30, and until now, there hasn't been too much going on. Things are starting to pick up now, though, so I'm going to start monitoring. I'm monitoring day #3 of the Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park this afternoon, from now until whenever things really start calming down. Like Thursday, my official coverage boundaries today will differ from my traditional monitoring boundaries. I'm monitoring Zones C, D, E, G, P, Q and S. Zone S is specifically set up for the festival, and it covers Homan to Western between Division and North Ave. Basically, my boundaries for today are pretty much Central Park to the west and Palmer to the north, with various boundaries to the east and south. The eastern borders are Leavitt (Palmer to Armitage), Damen (Armitage to North Ave.) and Western (North Ave. to Division), respectively, with the southern borders being North Ave. (Damen to Western) and Division (Western to Homan). We will see how things go today, and if things are considerably calm, then I will only cover the PR Fest until about 7 or 8pm tonight and will monitor something else tomorrow. For those of you who are new to the blog, or just need a reminder, but I do NOT cover this festival to be negative under any circumstances. If anything, I want everyone who goes to have a fantastic time. With that being said, however, at the PR Fest, we tend to run into numerous gang and crime issues, and quite frankly, I have heard some really alarming things in the previous years of monitoring it. My readers who have been on this blog for a long time can attest to that. I also cover it so that residents can keep up with what is going on in their community. With all of that said, I will no longer delay supplying what goes on today. Here's crime.

4:58pm - Disturbance. 2744 W Division. Group loitering and drinking in front. They've been calling here for about two hours now.

5:05pm - A citizen is reporting that a group of gangbangers at North and Albany just ran up on some cars going by and broke out some windows.

5:10pm - Gang disturbance. Washtenaw and North Ave. They're shouting gang slogans and throwing bottles.

5:14pm - Disturbance. 2738 W North Ave. Group on the roof, throwing things.

5:18pm - Gang disturbance. Division and California. Group out there on the corner.

5:23pm - Disturbance. 3142 W North Ave. Guy bothering people by the gas station.

5:31pm - Humboldt Park Command Post is reporting a very large group of gangbangers at Homan and Crystal, they're blocking off the entire street. A unit needs to go check it out. Beat 4312 says that he's going to have the 4310 and 4312 teams check it out.

5:34pm - Gang disturbance. Division and Kedzie. Group throwing bottles on the corner.

5:43pm - Beat car 1422 is saying that the 5:34pm group is over in the 11th District now, headed towards Haddon on Kedzie. They're headed to the 5:31pm gang disturbance.

5:44pm - A unit is dispersing four from 3400 W Beach for gang loitering. Console time is 17:44 and the event number is 13612.

5:45pm - Disturbance. 1600 N Francisco. People urinating in the alley.

5:49pm - 1) The gangbangers are back out over at Division/Kedzie. Twenty male teens throwing up gang signs. 2) We've got a potential speed chase starting up at Kimball and Palmer. Beat car 1413 is saying that a car with a plate of 640P283 just took off from them. Headed west on Palmer towards St. Louis.

5:50pm - 1413 lost the car. Shakespeare and Central Park.

5:53pm - Disturbance. 2032 N Milwaukee Ave. Female causing a problem with the employees.

5:56pm - Disturbance. 2700 block of W Division. Large group gathering all up and down the block, a few calls are coming in.

6:00pm - Disturbance. 19XX N Drake. Group of drinkers in front.

6:13pm - Person w/ a gun. 1622 N California. Male Hispanic, 19 years old, 5'7, black shirt, beige shorts and glasses has a gun. He's with three other guys.

6:15pm - Beat 1400XRay is giving a slow down over at the 6:13pm job.

6:24pm - Beat 4312Charlie is dispersing five for gang loitering at 3054 W Division. Console time is 18:24 and the event number is 14313.

6:30pm - Gang disturbance. Washtenaw and Division. Large group on the corner.

6:33pm - 1) A slow down is being given on the 6:30pm job. Everything's fine. 2) Disturbance. 1500 N Fairfield.

6:34pm - Shots Fired. 19XX N Kimball. One shot heard.

6:35pm - Battery in progress. Wabansia and California. Group fighting on the street.

6:40pm - A slow down is being given on the 6:35pm job. They're dispersing.

6:44pm - Assault in progress. 19XX N Mozart. Man walking down the street with a bat, he's got a group of people behind him telling him "don't do it".

6:47pm - A slow down is being given on the 6:44pm job. No one's around.

6:55pm - EMS run. California and Cortland. Man in his 30s down by the tire shop, possibly might have been stabbed.

6:57pm - Okay, it's bona fide at California/Cortland. The guy WAS stabbed. Ambulance 48 is on scene.

7:04pm - Battery in progress. LeMoyne and Washtenaw. Group fighting in the street. (Dispatched at 7:35).

7:08pm - Battery in progress. 16XX N Washtenaw. Group of ten gangbangers are fighting in the alley. (Dispatched at 7:18).

7:09pm - Beat 1462David is dispersing 15 for gang loitering from Spaulding and North Ave. Console time is 19:09 and the event number is 14617.

7:10pm - 1400X is asking Beat 1490 how things look on Fullerton. She's at Fullerton and Sawyer, saying Fullerton is wide open. Things are good for now. Sounds like the PR Fest crowds are going to begin pushing west into 25 shortly.

7:18pm - Person w/ a knife. 35XX W McLean. Male Hispanic with an orange shirt and black shorts has a knife, and he's waving it at everyone.

7:19pm - Traffic barricades from the TMAs are needed at Washtenaw/Division.

7:22pm - Beat 2520 has North closed off at Central Park, headed east towards the Festival.

7:24pm - Assault in progress. 2744 W Division. 15 people in front are yelling, throwing water at people, loitering, etc.

7:30pm - Disturbance. Somewhere on Division. Guy running through the street, waving a flag.

7:31pm - Check the well being. 18XX N Kedzie. Caller hasn't seen their neighbor in a few days and now there's files on the window inside.

7:33pm - Battery report. North and Washtenaw. Caller is back home at an address on Cortland, but says they were beaten up at this intersection.

7:37pm - Shots Fired. 26XX W Crystal. Five shots fired, three to five people out in front seemed like they were trying to get someone to come out from the apartment building.

7:38pm - 1400X is headed over to Crystal. Also, Beat car 1421 is on scene at the 7:31pm job, asking for a call back. They had this call yesterday, too, apparently.

7:39pm - Car 42 is reminding Dispatch that she must dispatch all gang disturbances and "Shots Fired" calls on Citywide 5 also. There's officers on the detail who are only listening to this frequency.

7:40pm - 1400X is giving a slow down on Crystal. Call back is being requested.

7:41pm - 1) Dispatch just got off the phone with the Crystal caller, and they said they don't know anything and saw nothing. 2) Beat 4312David is dispersing five for gang loitering at 16XX N Sawyer. Console time is 19:41 and the event number is 15736.

7:54pm - EMS run. 19XX N Kimball. Man down.

8:13pm - Beat 1465David is pulling an RD number from 1400 Luis Munoz Marine Drive, for narcotics I believe. It's HW320430 with the event number of 16118.

8:19pm - Unit is dispersing 20 from somewhere along North Ave.

8:23pm - Beat 2548 is blocking traffic on North at Central Park, asking if they should let the buses through. Car 43 says yes.

8:32pm - Disturbance. Western and Milwaukee Ave. Guy waving a flag in the street.

8:35pm - Disturbance. 13XX N Kedzie. People partying in the street.

8:41pm - Disturbance. 1200 N California. Drinkers, loiters, etc.

8:44pm - Gang disturbance. 1622 N California.

8:55pm - 4312D is dispersing ten from Evergreen and Homan for gang loitering. Console time is 20:55 and the event number is 16756.

8:56pm - Beat 1462Eddie has someone running from 2657 W Crystal. Male Hispanic with a hat. Might have a gun. Beat 1465Adam is en route.

8:57pm - A slow down is being given on Crystal. This is where the "Shots Fired" happened an hour ago.

9:05pm - Criminal trespass in progress. 12XX N Maplewood. Drinkers in front, on the caller's property.

9:12pm - Fireworks. On 1431's Beat.

9:16pm - 4312D is taking two in from a stop at Kedzie and North Ave.

9:18pm - We've got a big fight breaking out. 2731 W Division. This is on 12's side, but a 14th District unit just on-viewed it. More cars are needed.

9:19pm - And just like that, a slow down is being given at 2731 Division, per Beat car 1212.

9:26pm - Battery in progress. Hirsch and Kedzie. Ten to 15 males fighting.

9:28pm - Multiple calls are coming in for the 9:26pm job.

9:29pm - A slow down is being given on the 9:26pm job. The crowd's dispersing.

9:31pm - Beat 4312 has about 100 people partying in the street and what not at Whipple and North Ave. They need a couple of cars. Another unit is saying that 16th and 17th District Tac units should be right there to assist.

9:32pm - Still cars needed at Whipple/North Ave. Crowd's getting really rowdy and one person needs to go to jail.

9:34pm - 4312's guy ran from him. He ran into the park, and the officer is saying for the other officers to let him go. Meanwhile, the crowd is headed west on North Ave., passing Kedzie. Sounds like they'll be in 25 shortly. They're acting a fool.

9:40pm - Just FYI to everyone out there: Although this on 12's side, we just had information given by Beat 1465David that a female was shot in a black vehicle over at Division and Mozart. Victim is headed to St. Mary's at this time.

9:43pm - 1) Battery. 25XX W Moffat. Caller's boyfriend was hit in the back of the head. 2) There's some conflict as into what side of Division this shooting happened on. Some people are saying 14, others are saying 12. Either way, Beat car 1213Robert is being assigned to do the paper at St. Mary's.

9:45pm - Now it's being said the female was NOT shot. She was hit with a bottle.

9:59pm - 1) Beat 1465Eddie is taking two in from 2900 W North Ave. 2) Arson in progress. 26XX W Crystal. Someone just threw a cocktail and a car caught fire.

10:02pm - Battery in progress. LeMoyne/Washtenaw. 30 people fighting, one gangbanger is supposedly running and holding his side with a visible shiny object. Few calls are coming in.

10:03pm - Shots Fired. 21XX N Campbell. Six heard

10:04pm - Beat car 1423R is giving a slow down on the 10:02pm job. Crowd's dispersing.

10:05pm - 1) Beat car 1431R is giving a slow down on the 10:03pm job. 2) Shots Fired. 24XX W Charleston.

10:12pm - 1) Loud music disturbance. Spaulding and Dickens. 2) Disturbance. 35XX W McLean. Drunk male on the porch. 3) 4312 wants all the 4310 units to meet him at Division and Francisco.

10:14pm - Fireworks. Mozart and North Ave. Male and female threw fireworks into the street.

10:15pm - Loud music disturbance. 17XX N Rockwell.

10:16pm - An outside unit just got flagged down at North and Francisco. The citizen is reporting there was just a skirmish on the street.

10:28pm - Disturbance. Albany and Wabansia. Group on the corner loitering.

10:34pm - Person w/ a gun. North and Washtenaw. Male Hispanic, bald, 5'7 to 5'8, glasses with a red shirt is walking back and fun with a gun. He's just north of North Ave.

10:35pm - Disturbance. Albany/Wabansia. Ten to 15 teens on the corner, being loud and using construction materials to block off the street.

10:40pm to 10:54pm - I stepped away from the radio, but I don't think much happened. I'm sorry, guys.

10:56pm - 1) Shots Fired. Albany/Wabansia. Several gunshots heard. 2) Gang disturbance. 16XX N Washtenaw. Group loitering in front.

10:57pm - Disturbance. 3262 W Armitage. Guy stumbling around in the alley and what not.

11:24pm - Person stabbed. St. Mary's Hospital. Four stabbing victims from the PR Fest. Wow.....

11:31pm - Assault in progress. 32XX W Evergreen. Neighbor is in the caller's apartment, threatening the caller.

11:38pm - 1) Assault in progress. Spaulding and Dickens. Bunch of people getting ready to fight on the street, possibly gang-related. There's two carloads of people plus a few motorcycles. 2) More cars needed at Division and Kedzie. Large crowd heard in the background.

11:39pm - A slow down is being given at Kedzie/Division. Quite a few units on scene.

11:46pm - All the units at Division/Kedzie are being thanked for their prompt response.

11:48pm - Gang disturbance. Crystal and Washtenaw. Large group of intoxicated gang members are yelling and harassing people.

11:50pm - Gang disturbance. 1951 N Western. At the McDonalds. Group of gangbangers gathering behind there.

11:51pm - 1) Gang disturbance. 32XX W North Ave. They're hanging out and playing loud music. 2) Loud music disturbance. 33XX W Crystal.

2:56pm - Disturbance. 1839 N Richmond. At the Yates school. Unhappy parent, something happened to their child.

3:01pm - The offender from the Yates school disturbance is calling now.

3:08pm - Beat 1420 needs a relief set up for Beat car 1434 over at the Speedboat in Humboldt Park. Beat 1405 is headed over to do that.

3:17pm - Beat car 1423 has a traffic stop at LeMoyne and Talman.

3:36pm - Beat car 1421 is coding out Yates as a 19P.

3:39pm - Request for a supervisor over at Yates now. They're unhappy with CPD.

4:00pm - 1423 has an unavoidable traffic stop at Troy and North Ave.

4:03pm - Burglary report. 19XX N Leavitt.

4:04pm - Beat car 1431 is on a street stop at Milwaukee and Western.

4:05pm - Burglary in progress. 18XX N Drake. Details to follow...

4:08pm - A slow down is being given on the 4:05pm job per Beat car 1422.

4:34pm - Assault. 32XX W Potomac. Two males walking by with pit bulls were walking by and barked at the caller's dog, and when the caller said something, these two guys came back and threatened them.

10:21pm - 10-1. California and Division. Officers need assistance.

10:22pm - 1206N is at California/Division and there is NO 10-1. They're okay.

10:25pm - 1400X needs a Tac car at 2750 W. Division, in the alley. He's got people drinking in the alley and they need to go to jail. Beat 1463David is being assigned there.

10:26pm - 1) Beat 1463Adam is going over to Division also. 2) Beat 1463Boy needs a transport car at LeMoyne and St. Louis. They're taking two in. Beat 1442 is being selected to go over.

10:33pm - Burglar alarm. 27XX W Hirsch.

10:34pm - 1463A is clearing out all the motorcycles from over there.

10:36pm - Beat car 1434Robert needs to relieve 1405 at the Speedboat.

10:37pm - 1463A is giving thanks to all of the officers who assisted them at California and Crystal.

10:39pm - 1463A is on Fairfield with five on the hood. We don't know his exact location.

10:45pm - Battery in progress. 14XX N Fairfield. Gangbangers fighting, drinking, etc.

10:46pm - 1463A's stop is at the 10:45pm address, they've got about 20 people on the street but still have the five on the hood. They're okay.

10:47pm - 1463A thanks all of the responding units on Fairfield. 19P.

10:49pm - 1) 1463D is dispersing five for gang and narcotics loitering at 32XX W Wabansia. Console time is 22:49 and the event number is 18165. 2) 1400X needs a First Watch car to do security at the field house. That unit starts at 23:00 (11pm), so they'll be there soon.

10:57pm - Person w/ a gun. California/Division. Four male Hispanics in a black Ford Windstar with a plate of P179456 that was headed west on Division towards Mozart have guns in the vehicle.

11:01pm - Beat 1460 needs a Tac car over by the Command Post. 1463A is being assigned.

11:07pm - Criminal damage in progress. 35XX W Cortland. Large group of people are on the unfinished roof, tagging. They're also smoking and drinking.

11:08pm - 1400X is asking if Beat 1400, 14th District Commander, and 1460, are on their way into 14 yet. They are.

11:09pm - Disturbance. 16XX N Maplewood. 15 to 20 teens in front are drinking and blasting music from vehicles.

11:11pm - Suspicious person. Maple Playlot (2044 N. Sawyer). Grown male is hanging out on the swingset. Maybe he's still a kid at heart LOL....

11:14pm - Fireworks. 19XX N Kedzie. Neighbors shooting off fireworks in the backyard.

11:17pm - Beat car 1432R has a car with a plate of R502709 at north humboldt.

11:19pm - 1432R's plate is coming back clear and valid. No wants or warrants.

11:22pm - 1432R is clear from the stop. They're headed to the 11:09pm job now.

11:36pm - Barking dog. 20XX W Homer.

11:52pm - 1) Beat 1480 and his team are released from the PR Fest detail. They're back in Wicker Park. 2) Disturbance. 16XX N Francisco. Someone's hammering on something at this time of night.

2-Car Accident @ Willow/Damen, Person Assaulted By CPD @ Kimball/Cortland

Good morning, everyone, it's 9:56am. I'm monitoring 14 today from now until 11:37am, then I'll cover Zone F (Logan Blvd. to Palmer, Sacramento to Rockwell) until 4:50 and then again from 10 to midnight. From 4:50 to 10, I'll cover 14 once again. I want to let all of you know that we are supposed to have inclement weather today in the form of very large hail, destructive winds, flooding and possibly even strong tornadoes, so be on the lookout for the weather today. I'll be keeping an eye on it. Tomorrow and this weekend, I will be covering the Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park. I don't do this to be negative, but I do this to keep people safe and inform them of whatever happens at the festival. All too often at the PR Fest, as I've heard from monitoring it the last couple of years, violence breaks out all too frequently. What is meant for celebration often gets turned into chaos there. With that said, during my time covering the Festival, I will be covering Zones C, D, E, G, P, Q and the designated PR Fest Zone, S. 10:12am - Traffic accident. Willow and Damen. Property damage only, two cars.

10:27am - Request for a supervisor. Kimball and Cortland. Caller says they were assaulted by three police officers.

10:30am - Beat car 1434 needs an RD number from the accident. It's HW315119 with the event number of 04988.

10:40am - EMS run.  2720 W North Ave. Man down.

10:41am - Beat 1420 is asking for a call back at the supervisor request call.

10:46am - Residential alarm. 21XX N Stave.

Residential Alarm On Paulina, Blue Line Check @ Western

Good morning, everyone, it's 11:37am. Sorry I'm late. I'm monitoring 14 today from now until 4:50pm, then I have to go to my 6pm Computer class and I will return by 10pm. Tomorrow, I will monitor Zone F from this time tomorrow to 4:50, then I will cover 14 from 4:50 to 10, and then I'll cover Zone F from 10 to midnight. From Thursday into Sunday, I will cover the Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park. Tomorrow, I have a CAPS Beat meeting at Avondale Park, which starts at 7pm, and it's for Beat 1732. Speaking of Beat meetings, I have a couple Beat meeting posts from this year I need to post, and most of them will be posted at the appropriate times of the year of which I went to. 11:48am - Beat car 1422 is doing an "L" check at the Western Blue Line station.

11:51am - Beat 4083Adam has a movie crew truck blocking the street on the 2400 block of W Homer. Streets and San needs to send a tow truck out. Dispatch tells him to contact them.

12:06pm - Traffic accident. 31XX W Diversey. Illinois Student Transportation school bus VS CTA bus. No injures at this time, though.

12:11pm - Beat 1484 is doing a park check at Fireman. Event number is 06979.

12:20pm - Couple of parkers on Beat 1442's PDT.

12:29pm - 1) Disturbance. 16XX W Wabansia. Female going through the garbage in the alley. She's wearing a pink shirt. 2) Parker. On 1434's Beat.

12:45pm - Shoplifter at Target, 2656 N Elston.

1:10pm - 1422 is taking in a female from the 12:45pm job. Also, an RD number is being pulled from the job. It's HW313923 with the event number of 07551.

1:27pm - Beat 1463David is dispersing two at 16XX N Kimball. Event number is 08279.

1:51pm - Check the well being. 24XX W Diversey.

1:58pm - 1463D is doing a check at 27XX W Belmont. Event number is 08812.

2:04pm - EMS run. Winnebago and Western. Unresponsive male in front of the pizza place.

2:18pm - Disturbance. Western and North Ave. Homeless man in the street without any shoes on.

2:39pm - Information for the CPD. North and Damen. Something about a car.

2:40pm - Holding the offender. 2235 N Hamilton. At the CICS-Bucktown school. 12 year old student being held for possession of marijuana.

2:47pm - Residential burglar alarm. 35XX W Lyndale.

3:54pm - 1) Parker. St. Louis and Bloomingdale. School bus can't get through. 2) Burglar alarm. 16XX N Honore. 3) Disturbance. 2010 N Damen. At the Aidi. Man harassing the cashier, refusing to leave.

3:59pm - Beat 1480 has Beat 1481Charlie out on bikes this afternoon for patrol in the area of Armitage and Damen.

4:26pm - 1) Disturbance. 1757 N Milwaukee Ave. At the Aidi. Three in. 2) Disturbance. Winchester and Cortland. Two males going through the trash.

Good morning, everyone, it's 7:33am. I'm monitoring the Zone L area today (Belmont to Palmer, Central Park), and then I'll be covering 14 tomorrow. Good morning, everyone, it's 8:27am. Beautiful morning with temps in the upper 60s. I'm monitoring the Zone K area today (Belmont to Palmer, Central Park to various points west of Pulaski), and tomorrow I'm monitoring the Zone L area (Belmont to Palmer, Central Park to Sacramento), then 14 will be covered most of the day on Tuesday. The only thing I'm really doing this week other than attending class is going to Beat 1732's CAPS meeting on Wednesday evening, over at Avondale Park at 7pm. Lastly, later this week, beginning Thursday, is the Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park. I will be monitoring it on Thursday and then this weekend. More details to come this week. This upcoming week, I just have a CAPS Beat meeting on Wednesday, for Beat 1732. Other than that, I'll just be focused on my school work for my 2nd week of class and blogging regularly. Large Combined Mission W/ 14 And 25 Today, Suspicious Suitcase On California (Zone C Monitoring)

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:54am. I'm finally back with a post after being gone all this week. I monitored the Zone B area (Palmer to Bloomingdale, Leavitt to Wood) from 10:11am to noon yesterday but heard nothing. Today, I'm monitoring the Zone C area (Palmer to Bloomingdale, Rockwell to Leavitt) all day, and from now until 10:11, I will also monitor Zone B along with it. Tomorrow, I'll be covering 25 all day. I went to my first day of class for this summer semester yesterday evening and it seems like an easy class, at least for now, so that's good. It's on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm, which does mean, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend CAPS meetings or other community meetings until the end of next month on those nights. I'm still available Monday/Wednesday evenings, which most of the meetings I need to go to actually fall on for the next two months, so I won't be missing too much. I'm waiting to hear about a part-time job for the summer for the morning, which is why I took the evening class. Well, enough about me. I certainly hope everyone's had a fantastic week and that there wasn't too much crime in the neighborhood. Well, with that, here's crime for today.

I haven't decided on it yet, but I may change my class schedule for my summer college course, so I'm taking the appropriate amount of time off. I'm also waiting on some personal news. Today, I'm monitoring the Zone E area (Palmer to Bloomingdale, Humboldt to Rockwell) and then tomorrow, I'm monitoring 25, then Thursday I'll be monitoring the Zone B area (Palmer to Bloomingdale, Leavitt to Wood). As I said yesterday, Memorial Day started my summer season monitoring schedule, which is monitoring everyday, all day, or at least at all times possible from now until the end of August. With that being said, from Sunday, June 2nd, until Wednesday, June 5th, or Thursday, June 6th (haven't decided for sure yet), I am going to go on a blog vacation to enjoy some time to myself before I start my summer class and summer season monitoring. Good morning, everyone, it's 8:57am. It's a cloudy morning with temps in the mid 60s, and today will get into the upper 70s with rain and thunderstorms later. More more average weather. Well, now that Memorial Day is over, many people in Chicago consider this the start of summer, even though summer doesn't officially start for another few weeks. For us in the Chi, this means the beaches are now open for the summer with other events that will be starting soon for the summer. For this blog, and me, this means a couple of small changes are coming. For one, with the summer season just about here, I am going to be kicking into my summer schedule for monitoring. I plan on monitoring everyday, all day, at least for now. I'm taking a summer class, though, starting next week, but I may be changing my class schedule around this week. For now, I'm taking the class on Mondays/Wednesdays from 8am to 10:50, but I may change that by Friday. I'm just waiting on some news. Either way, I will have time to monitor almost, if not, everyday this summer. Good afternoon, everyone, and Happy Memorial Day! It's 2pm on a chilly late May day, with temps in the upper 50s, and today will be cloudy with temps around 60 or so. I'm on a special monitoring schedule since it's a holiday. I'm monitoring 25 from now until 2:10pm, then I'll come back with 25 at 8 until 8:10. At 8:10, I'm switching over to 14 until 8:20, and then I'll be gone from 8:20 to 9:40, which is why I'll come back with 17, until 9:50, then I'll be gone for the night. 6:17pm - 1) Disturbance. 24XX N Albany. Male Hispanic, intoxicated, with a white/green track jacket and jeans is going through the garbage can. He has a BBQ grill filled with garbage. Headed towards Fullerton on Albany. 2) Traffic accident. Armitage and Humboldt.

Good morning, everyone, it's 11am. It's a sunny morning with temps in the mid 50s, and today will be around 60 with sunshine. Not warm or the average for this time of year, but for me at least, it'll do. Sorry for no post yesterday, but I did listen to the Zone I area (Beat 1733) and heard virtually nothing. Also, I listened to the Zone A area half of the day on Wednesday, but I'm still working on archives from it from 2:10pm to 4:20pm. Today, I'm monitoring 25 from now until 1:30pm, then tomorrow, I'll be monitoring the Zone F area before noon and from 6:56 to 8:40. With that, here's crime for this portion of today.

12:15pm - Beat 2582Frank needs a car to do a traffic accident report at 31XX N Ridgeway for him, he's been involved in a minor fender bender but he's ok. Beat 2520 has been notified and Beat car 2524 is going to do the paper on it.

12:26pm - Disturbance. 3616 W Armitage. At the Funston school, annex building. Male White, 50s, with a white striped sweater and blue jeans is in front, drinking.

Traffic Stop @ Addison/The Kennedy Expressway, Man Wants To Hurt Himself On Central Park

Good morning, everyone, it's 8:40am. It's a partly cloudy morning with temps in the 70s and today will remain this way with temps in the 80s. I'm monitoring 17 today for all of you residents North of Belmont, and I'll be covering the Zone A area tomorrow (Damen to the Chicago River, Armitage to North Ave.), then Zone I (Beat 1733) will be covered on Thursday. Anyway, I have a few meetings this week that I am attending. Tonight, at 6:30pm, I am going to the CAPS Beat 2525 meeting at Mozart Park, then tomorrow is my CAPS Beat meeting for Beat 2523 also at 6:30, at St. Joesph's on Belmont, and then Thursday I may be attending a training session for CAPS, and lastly, I have an outing on Friday that I'm participating in. Busy but fun week. With that, here's crime for today.

1:02pm - Disturbance w/ a mental. 33XX N Central Park. 49 year old male wants to hit himself.

1:09pm - Beat car 1732 says Ambulance #81 just left with that guy from Central Park. Hope he's okay...

1:10pm - 1732 has a handwaver at 32XX N Central Park. Something about a violation order.

1:46pm - Traffic accident. Kedzie and Belmont.

2:35pm - Traffic accident. 3443 W Addison. By the receiving dock at K-Mart.

3:32pm - Battery in progress. Milwaukee and Pulaski Rd. Group of kids fighting, they're blocking traffic. Might be related to a gang disturbance Dispatch has another call at Karlov and Milwaukee Ave. Probably leftovers from Schurz's dismissal.

Good afternoon, everyone, it's 12:09pm. Sorry I'm late. It's a warm day with temps in the lower 80s, and today will be in the lower 80s with sun but also a chance of storms, some that could be severe. I'm monitoring the Zone F area (Sacramento to Rockwell, Wellington to Palmer) today, and then I'll be covering 17 tomorrow for residents North of Belmont. I plan on finishing up my Zone F monitoring this week then starting the Zone A area (Armitage to North Ave., Damen to the Chicago River) as well as the Zone I area (Beat 1733). Lastly, I have a few meetings this week in the community I need to attend. First, I have the Avondale Neighborhood Association meeting this evening at 7pm over at St. Hyacinth's (I'll have my microphone record while I'm gone), then I have the CAPS Beat meeting for Beat 2525 tomorrow at 6:30pm over at Mozart Park, and then on Wednesday is my CAPS Beat meeting, for Beat 2523, which begins at 6:30 at St. Joesph's on Belmont. Well, with all of that said, here's crime for today.

Good morning, everyone, it's 12am. It's a mild and clear evening with temps in the lower 60s, and today will be a warm sunny day with temps in the mid 80s. Probably going to be another active day, but we'll see. I'm monitoring 25 again today, from now until the first call after midnight, then again from 6:33am until 9:41, and then again from 3pm to 9:30. I'll be covering the Zone F area (Wellington to Palmer, Sacramento to Rockwell) again tomorrow and 17 on Tuesday. I've got a pretty busy schedule this week, actually. On Monday, I have the ANA meeting at 7pm at St. Hyacinth's, then I have the CAPS Beat meeting for Beat 2525 on Tuesday, which is at Mozart Park beginning at 6:30, and then I have my CAPS Beat meeting on Wednesday. Good morning, everyone, it's 9:41am. It's a mostly sunny morning with temps in the upper 60s, and today will remain this way with temps getting real close to 80. I'm monitoring 25 today from now until 3pm, then again from 9:30 to midnight. Tomorrow, I plan on covering 25 from 6:33am to this time, then from 3 to 9:30. It still feels really good to be on vacation from school. I'm enjoying my time off, as I go back to school June 5th. I'm taking a morning summer class on Mondays/Wednesdays until the end of July. It's a computer class, so it should be interesting. With that, here's crime for portions of today.

9:52am - Vicious animal. Palmer and Avers. Two large pit bulls running through the area.

9:54am - Beat car 2524 is giving Beat car 2525 a disregard over there, she thinks this is related to her call she had a little while ago at Hamlin and Wrightwood, so she'll check this one out too.

9:55am - I heard this call on Zone 3, in 14, but there's a report of the "motorcycle gang" converging at 1890 N Milwaukee Ave. We have about 100 motorcycles parked on the street. They're probably getting ready for some sort of event.

10:00am - 2524 is on a traffic stop at Palmer/Avers now.

10:03am - 2525 needs another car at Diversey and Avers. He's got a few stopped. Beat 2544 is headed over.

10:11am - 2524 is coding the job as a 19Boy. She returned both of those pit bulls to their owner on the 3700 block of W Palmer.
