It's much worse over here (matter of fact, we're the worst neighborhood on the NW side), but yet Uptown gets all of the coverage.

We're probably not getting the attention they're getting because we're not on the lakefront. The media in Chicago only loves covering the lakefront neighborhoods on the north side. They don't like covering neighborhoods like this because they think we're all poor.AvondaleLoganSquareCrimeBlotterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16265055037044651064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688871896061751645.post-54274246675746819962010-07-28T21:56:38.770-05:002010-07-28T21:56:38.770-05:00You know what pisses me off wacthing the news abou...You know what pisses me off wacthing the news about a shooting that happen today in Uptown. There are others, I can't think of them right now. We have a lot of homeless in my area and they can be seen wearing sweaters, winter coats, gloves, etc. But it does sound kind of suspicious that he was hiding behind a bush. Thanks for keeping your eyes out on suspicious behavior :). I agree that it is time to take the city back from criminals.AvondaleLoganSquareCrimeBlotterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16265055037044651064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688871896061751645.post-61649496422477459562010-07-28T14:46:45.234-05:002010-07-28T14:46:45.234-05:00@ 12:29 - You called 911 for that? I mean it's one thing if said suspicious person is hanging out in front of your house at night but behind bushes in a HD parking lot in broad daylight......???Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688871896061751645.post-59506066166672632462010-07-28T12:29:18.506-05:002010-07-28T12:29:18.506-05:00Hello Timmy. As I was driving home this morning from getting my vechicle tested for the Emissions test, I noticed a suspicious man near the parking lot of the Home Depot on Lincoln Avenue wearing a SWEATER. Besides the fact that he was hiding behind the bushes, he was wearing a SWEATER in this hot hot weather. Now tell me if that ain't suspicious at all? Lol. Anyways jokes aside, I pulled over and called 911. As soon as I got home, the people from Dispatch called me back to see if I was still in the area because the police officer couldn't find anyone that matched that description. :( Hopefully once the guy saw a squad car coming from the distance he took off before he could break-in into any of the vehicles in the parking lot. Timmy, if it weren't for your blog and your dedication to serving the community I would have just ignored the whole deal. From now on I'll keep my eyes and ears open for anything abnormal around my neighborhood and city. It's time we take our city back from criminals! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
